I saw that Bakhodir Jalolov's last fight was organized by IBA Pro. I don't know much about this organization and wonder if it is organizing truly professional boxing matches? What is the value of the IBA Pro belt compared to the other well-known organizations?
It's the big Russian-run amateur league putting on their own five round pro fights. They are usually not recognized by the big four, but sometimes are, and they seem to have some sort of unholy alliance with the WBA. Suslenkov beat hunter in an IBA pro fight, for example, and it is not recognized by the pros. It was actually recognized for awhile on the WBA website, but they took it down. Boxrec has their own IBA pro tab.
Yeah I saw that on the Kuzmin card the other night. I'm pretty sure they said this fight wouldn't count on Kuzmin's or Khalidov's records because its not a pro fight, but it looked a lot like a pro fight to me.
They are pro fights. This content is protected That's a professional boxing match between two known professionals. It's not an exhibition. It's not an amateur fight. It's a professional boxing match.
Are we all in agreement that IBA are just another professional boxing promotional company? There's no good reason I have seen for the IBA pro fights to be considered outside of professional boxing as a whole. Any ideas? Is this just some 'anti Russia' thing?
The butthurt boxrec and the british arrogancy. They recognize the Prizefighter tournaments but ignore the Bigger's Better tournaments. They don't recognize even the Nunez-Rakhimov IBF final eliminator match as a pro fight. Their tantrum over the Haye-Chisora event was funny, but it's not funny that they refuse to put matches that have happened into the database.
It's cute to spin being suspect of Russian athletics as a xenophobic issue rather than a natural international reaction to a nation who has a history of systemic cheating backed by the state. It's like complaining Jake Paul isn't taken seriously ... except there's a lot more proof against the agency nixed by the Olympic committee in 23 goes by scripts than Paul fights.
All of professional boxing has a history of corruption. Maybe boxrec should wipe out the whole history.
Boxrec has a separate section for IBA sanctioned fights. https://boxrec.com/en/iba-pro/740705 Boxrec is a stickler for rules, at least for modern fights, and they dont typically recognize fights that are not overseen by official local commissions. Its why they were so unhappy with the Haye vs Chisora fight, as it was sanctioned by "Federation Luxembourgeoise Boxe Pro", even tho it took place in the UK. IMO, Boxrec is over-complicating things, and scrubbing the WBA from their records was stupid - should have just stopped recognizing the WBA´s future fights instead.

I see nothing wrong with being honest about the era of European fascist propaganda I don't see anything wrong with being honest about the era of American post war red-scared propaganda I don't see anything wrong with being honest about the era Cold War/Russo-American propaganda I hope the kids in the future are honest about this era of Saudi propaganda in boxing.
