Who was better? (Not necessarily who'd win).

Norton was more skilled but Joshua's physical gifts make him a better overall fighter.

AJ wouldn’t win a decision against an early 70s Ali that I can be sure of.

Its kind of hard to say, they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

AJ wouldnt beat Ali but Norton wouldnt have beaten Wlad.

Norton was probably more talented but he'd lose to AJ most nights imo.

Norton was better. Arguably the only fighter to have beaten Ali twice, plus he had significant wins over Quarry and Young.

Head to head, the only advantage Joshua would have over Norton is size.

As a teenager in the 1970s up to now I've always thought Ken Norton was a tough but highly overrated fighter. I have to go with Joshua in this battle of the body builders.

    So much delusion.
AJ would destroy Ali. Ali is not Usyk level (or better) no matter would people like to pretend.
It's called fifty years of media propaganda.
AJ would land on Ali quite easily, as basically everybody did.
And Ali wouldn't know that kind of power. It isn't Joe Frazier and his 'leapin left hook'.
Yeah AJ got TKO'd by Ruiz, actually quit really, he wasn't unable to continue. But Ruiz landed a bomb on his temple, that's what did it. Before that he was on his way to getting smashed.
I can't stand AJ, but Ali is so laughably overrated. He's a 6'1-2 featherfist who got CTE because his defence was so bad.
AJ could honestly just walk through him.
The only chance Ali has is if he manages to gas AJ in the jungle like Foreman and make AJ quit. It's possible, yes, but in a standard fight, Ali is getting stopped because he has no power and his defence and footwork aren't good enough to run for 12.

Norton absolutely, far more dangerous on more levels bar fighting long behind a jab.

The only real and consistent* advantage, as has already been stated, that AJ probably has is his size for the most part. Who actually wins between them, though, I really dunno..

(*) The AJ from both Usyk fights impressed me in that he showed very good boxing skills, a decent gas tank, focus and footwork/Maneuverability. He was definitely dialled in, In these bouts.

So, the AJ that fought Usyk, then, I personally think, would stand a better chance of actually out-boxing Kenny Norton.

I was scared to see the results but it appears sanity has prevailed.

AJ doesn’t possess Foreman’s power and Ali had no trouble with that.

Ali dances around AJ all night and boxes his way to a very wide UD or late KO.

And Norton was better than AJ too.

You’re right, everyone else is deluded. I mean, imagine if Ali had to beat “King” Charles Martin to win a world title!

Who knows he is a big SHW who can punch. He may not have as much power as Foreman but he might to be far off.
