Listening to Bunce's 5Live fight week episode just now and Eddie claims on it that Senior making amends and attending was all down to Turkey. First I've heard of this. Thought the Eubanks had reconciled off their own back.

 

Any idea why there is no Saudi sponsorship on the Moses fight card?

Has the whole Saudi/QP stuff ended?

 

Were the Eubanks legitimately estranged for a bit then? I thought it was all WWE-style nonsense for the show, especially as Senior never seemed to stop his usual spiel in the media bigging his son up.

 

Think Turki had made new best mates in Dana White and Netflix.

 

Eubank gives a totally different account in his sit down with Steven Bartlett. Perhaps Turki gave a financial incentive to Senior to reach out but this is just Hearn turning the mind game desperation tactics into overdrive.

That would be nice to see him squirm. Not a fan of boxers getting personal with each other but if one party does it then it becomes fair game.

Liam Smith was visibly embarrassed when he was getting personal with Eubank and Eubank brought up his alleged infidelity.

The most uncomfortable I can remember is Bellew mentioning Clev’s alleged AA meetings. Even Hearn was mortified listening to that.

The initial meeting turned out to be better entertainment than expected, not from a pure boxing standpoint but very good none the less.

It was a niche fight built on their fathers careers, available on several platforms PPV which caters to the casual fan to hit that red button for financial success for all involved promotionally.

It's now buried away on a DAZN paywall with waning interest 6 weeks before xmas when simply unless you are a fool with deep pockets or the 5 to 10% attending with a real interest, why would you bother going or sign up to watch a rerun of a fight that the winner of the first for once wasn't shrouded in any controversy?

It's no wonder the stadium has thousands of tickets available and if the weather is wet be plenty of no shows holding cheaper ones!!

 

People know the family rivalry is a farce with Nigel Benn very good friends with Eubank Snr and has been for well over 2 decades.

Not even a British Title on the line and the only reason for the fight is PPV Loot.

The public have been sold too many pups by Hearn in particular over the last decade and have woken up.

 

Barry Jones has been refreshingly honest about Benn's ability (or lack of) when going over his keys to victory for this. Can probably expect his P45 from Matchroom or Dazn or whoever before Christmas.
