Does Eubank Jr stop Benn this time out?

I could see Benn needing to be saved by the ref. He's tough and would go out on his shield.

 

I think the opposite will happen. Eubank has boiled himself down to this dangerous weight one too many times now, and at 36, after that very tough first fight, I think Eggs Benedict is going to be fresher and could catch him like Smith did. Only one fighter was hurt in that first fight, and it wasn't Eggs, to be fair to him. Neither of these fighters has an outstanding IQ. Eubank might be marginally better and bigger, but with the rehydration clause and these other factors, I think Benn will beat him. I hope I am wrong, though, because Benn is arguably the most unlikeable man in the sport.

 

I am worried about the weight cut for Eubank only so many times you can keep going to the well.

 

He's not marginally bigger, he's much bigger.

I don't get the rehydration clause wailing throughout all of this as Eubanks is a MIDDLEWEIGHT fighting at MIDDLEWEIGHT and he's fighting a natural welterweight who was a complete non-puncher and looked small at super welterweight.

Eubank has looked like a skeleton at 160 for a long time. Yes, he is definitely getting himself into this problem, but there are only so many times fighters can boil down to an unhealthy weight at the age of 36 before it catches up to them.

 

I disagree, I think Ben is very likable and exactly what a fighter should be so I hope you’re right in your prediction.

 

Really? I think he's hot-headed, too intense, privileged, silver-spooned, and is getting an enormous payday because of his surname, not to mention the blatant use of performance-enhancing drugs, which took 2 years to try and sweep under the rug. He keeps talking about putting Eubank in the hospital, which is in bad taste for someone who has been caught red-handed using PEDs and trying to blame ingesting 30 eggs rather than just owning it.

 

That last fight was too taxxing on Eubank in my opinion, at 36. From the Smith beatdown in the first fight in recent years, now combined with a extremely taxxing 12 round fight with Conor Benn. I dont know what hes going to have left. Can his body allow him to do that all over again and so soon? Im not too sure. I now favour Conor Benn instead of Chris this time.

Last time out i think we got to see, naturally bigger size & experience see Eubank come through as the winner, this time, i think Conor Benns youthful freshness especially in terms of the ability to recover so soon after that kind of fight, familiarity of the previous 12 rounds with a big middleweight, as well as the questions he answered about himself in his own mind, will be enough to make Eubank feel very much an aged 36 year old.

I expect Benn to find him this time in similar fashion to Smith 1. I hope im wrong, i hope we see a 12 round slugfest from the first fight and more.

 

Can't stand Conman Henn so hopefully Jnr ktfo's him this time.

Interesting match, the first fight was entertaining, could go either way but I wouldn't be surprised if this time Benn stopped Eubank in the early rounds, in Liam Smith style.

 

It’s marginally a fight in favour of Eubank but you just feel that the rematch will be closer and Benn will be more effective in the rematch. You can see how much Eubank struggles to make the weight and how old he is now, so it’s in the balance even though Eubank is far superior.

I still favour Eubank via decision but I would be surprised if the rematch isn’t closer than the first fight.

 

I love it but I agree that he’s silver spooned and getting big paydays because of his name but with all sh*t talk he does he comes out guns blasting, we won’t see a “safe point fight” from Benn ever, if he says he’s going to war he really is and you got to appreciate that. We have too many “safe point” fighters already that says they going to war but never does.

Benn might be limited, spoiled and talk too much trash but he delivers on his promises and will go out on his shield if it comes down to it.

Saying that I still don’t like this fight, I much rather see what Benn could have done in 147/154. I rather watch Benn than Stevenson or Haney any time.
