I don't know never really cared to investigate too far into it. Pair of dossers and I don't take the word of AJ fans as anything other than a joke.

Wilder fans must be the most humiliated in history these days.. their boy got exposed time & again like no other HW champion that I've ever seen .. how he won a title is beyond me

eh. Fury looked good in both of his losses. I’m not really sure what he has to be embarrassed of. He lost twice to a generational great. Actually had a good amount of success against him in the first fight.

The issue with Furys resume isn't his losses though. He'd have 3 losses if not for unscored KD.

Usyk I was a loss but it was actually something resembling a redemption for Fury.

I don’t know what to say about the Ngannou fight. Fury didn’t train. Simple as that. Then he got hit, knocked down, realized the situation and that he was in with a grizzled combat vet with his same level of experience (albeit different rules), and got down to it and won. And he did legitimately win. Won every single round for the second half.

I don’t make excuses for him. He was given ATG once in a generation level gifts and never made the most of them (although I guess he came close against Wlad and Wilder the second time). But to say he wasn’t the very clear #2 of this era behind Usyk is ridiculous. He is.

and if Usyk retired tomorrow and Fury really wanted it? Odds on favorite to collect the belts and become undisputed.

But if the 2nd KD is scored he loses.

Fair enough. And yeah Wilder II and Whyte were some dominant performances there. The Wlad fight didn't do much for me especially given Furys response to the win. It was a passing of the torch because the better man was old not because the new champ was an upgrade.

Given the conduct of Fury, AJ and Wilder we have no idea who the top 5 of their era was. None. Its a mystery. They don't not have that status but they lollygagged their way to wasting their generations careers and its wrong.

    Stiverne had rhabdomyolisis.

I believe this was the genesis of their strategy of targeting medically unfit opponents, which went wrong with Fury, who was coming off obesity, depression, and drug abuse.

Obesity and drug use can be contributing factors to this disease:

I don't know if PEDs are amongst the drugs that contribute, but...

The truly hilarious part of this is that the OP was an idiot even back then before Usyk proved it all because USYK ABSOLUTELY SAID HE WANTED TO TAKE ON DEONTAY WILDER!

In fact, Wilder was the first name out of Usyk's mouth for who he wanted to fight when he moved up to HW. He went on SkySports speaking zero english and told the hosts there that Wilder was the first guy on his list.

I think the problem some people have, not unreasonably, is that certain fighters get excuses made for their poorer performances and it's expected to be taken as gospel...

Fury's typically judged only on his very best nights, sometimes with context completely ignored (eg. that dominating Wilder in #2 looks a lot less impressive when you see the terrible shape he was in for #1 and #3 and still clearly beat him - suggesting Wilder wasn't really that good)... And he gets a pass for having relatively limited depth to his resume, with lots of potential opponents that would've been clear #2 on his resume left on the table.

I agree, he looks like he could have proven more than he did... But he didn't...
And his flawed personality, his highly inconsistent condition and performance as a result, and how close he came to losing on several occasions? You have to suspect if he'd tried to prove more, he would've lost more, and it's unclear how he'd have coped with that, given the seeming selfdestruction when Usyk proved a level above.

It's not ridiculous whatsoever to say he's not the clear #2 - he's not, by any measure, and the only reason it's possible to even make the claim you did is because Fury gets a relatively easy ride of things whilst the other realistic candidate for that #2 spot absolutely doesn't.

Nope, yall just suffer from tiny peepee ... a bannable insult. I know because you've done it. Which def proves how wrong I am.

A pansy twink **** reckons Fury has nothing to be embarrassed about.

A man can see Wilder clearly.

I'm not gonna bother explaining. I am telling. Your manhood is cheap.

    No, I am not humiliated.

If you disagree it is only because you have a miniscule peepee

Usyk was on another level to both of them anyway, Fury exposed Wilder, he was never that good.

He wasn't the clear number 2 though. What wins prove he was?
