Should it come to fruition. It will be for the unified interim championship. The interim fight to end all interim fights. :chuck:

Nice pre-birthday present for me, and a slightly late one for Vergil!

I've wanted to see this one for almost five years. Originally, I was an Ennis fan but Ortiz Jr. Has won me over. In any event, I really hope this one gets made.

Amazing fight, hope it happens. I got Ortiz winning after getting up off the floor, could see them both hitting the canvas at some stage, Ennis is too defensively poor not to get hit with a clean, full-blooded shot at some stage.

I think Ennis speed will just be too much for Vergil. Ennis struggles against slick fighters. Think Madrimov could out point Ennis but he’d eat up guys like Vergil, Bohachuk and Bakhram.

ODLH seemed to be more pumped for Ortiz vs Spence the last interview I saw.

Hopefully boots vs Ortiz is next!

I just don’t like the style match-up for Vergil tbh. Love both guys but Boots is just as big a puncher if not more so on top of being faster and more elusive. I think Boots stays behind the jab, boxes smart, and busts up Vergil, who’ll struggle to get his offence going or really catch a rhythm for his engine and output to be the deciding factor like it often is. I just don’t like Boots for Vergil.

Ortiz's much better competition will be the difference, especially if he fights Boots next. Bohachuk, Madrimov, Mean Machine, and Lubin would all be the best names on Boots' resume. His lack of quality competition is going to run him into problems against Ortiz; it is a monumental step up in class. Whereas the likes of Madrimov are on the same level as Boots, I think Madrimov actually beats Boots. He has had it all his own way for far too long, and if Karen can pinch rounds and hit him at will, then Vergil will have him in trouble at some point. Ennis has major talent, but I think he is defensively poor and is being sold way above his station by Hearn.

Ennis. Its always Ennis. Whether his "word" is his contract, like it was with Showtime during Crawford negotiations, or he never received an email offer...despite emailing back and forth for weeks negotiating terms.

    Ennis is a *****.
