Here we go with the Mitchell overrating again.

No, he is NOT in this conversation at all. His resume was very underwhelming.

Mitchell doesnt belong in the same sentence as Nelson and Tiger.

I'm a huge fan of Nelson. Tin Ribs gave the best summation of Tiger and his skills i have seen in recent days, but I'm still Nelson. He'd have the odd off night, strangely, but he was a demon in rematches. There's very very very few I'd favor over him from 126-130.

I find him to seem a bit unfashionable with many fans, for whatever reason. He was immense in my books.

Kind of ironic, Sanchez-Nelson was Salvador's last fight.

Really, a great fight, too. Historically and aesthetically. Nelson was uncharacteristically showboating, Ali shuffle and all that. He could fight a Sugar Ray Leonard style.. but we never saw that again from him. All business from there on out. In the end, Sanchez used his otherworldly stamina to pull out a hard fought W.

    Highly recommended. Highest rating.

Agreed. And that's why I rate Azumah over Dick.

Am I really the first to throw Marcel Cerdan's name into the ring?

Made his debut in Morocco at 18; first 27 bouts in Africa. Was known as the Moroccan Bomber, Casablanca Clouter. Africa has a good claim on him.

That said, I agree with you 100%. Cheeky French claiming him and we've all fallen for it.

Tiger beat more hall of famers but also had a lot more losses and some of which to lesser men. It’s give and take. They’re both very close in terms of their level of greatness. If it had anything to do with who we LIKED more then it’s Nelson for me. But I don’t have a problem with anyone who rates Tiger higher.
