If AJ is actually allowed to fight on his merits then Paul is a realistic chance of leaving in a hearse.

I dont quite put it past it being a genuine fight because at the end of the day, outside of Canelo this is likely the most money Jake will ever have the opportunity to make in his life, I expect the paydays here will be massive. I dont find it implausible that Jakes willing to be paid a fortune to take an L. I mean, hes already lost to Tommy Fury lol, he really doesnt lose a whole lot by getting beat by AJ here, he just makes tons of money. Almost everyone expects him to get splattered, so if he has even a shred of success at any second of the fight it will be highlighted.

Outside of the possibility of serious injury, which is of course possible but likely low chance, its a win win for Jake here.

If AJ floats a few rounds for Jake, it will actually be more embarrassing than Fury's performance against Ngannou. No way should AJ let Paul last longer in the ring with him than he let Ngannou.

Jake is so crap that I think it is almost impossible for a fighter of AJ's caliber to float him rounds without it looking like a total fix.

"Fight me, or your entire brand is devalued by committing one of the worst ducks in history" is hardly forced?

He had to fight Usyk to keep the money train rolling. They sure as hell didn't want to. You don't get credit for fighting the forced fight required to maintain your brand.

I just hope there's not a "gentleman's agreement" between parties for AJ to let the fight get past a certain number of rounds at least, before he goes for the finish. I doubt Jake nor Netflix like the idea of a 2 or less round fight.

Jake only a few weeks back was still training to fight a 5'5", 135lbs man. He can't possibly expect to be able to put up a remotely adequate fight against AJ this coming December.

Joshua doesn't need the money. If he takes the fight against Fake Paul he becomes a laughing stock in HW boxing.

Don't do it Mr Humble !

It would be a pre agreed contract like his other fights. The deal will be to go the distance or something scripted with no KO and penalty's for breach of contract. If Paul is offering £20 mill for Joshua to spar him on cameras and say after "he was tougher than I expected" he has to think about that at his stage of his career. There may also be some share/business proposal bundled in as Jake and Joshua are friends, keeps him relevant with Jake Paul fanbase and YouTube generation and also with Netflix involved the money could be much higher. Smart move from Joshua who has stated on many occasions that he is a business man.

If this fight actually happens and it isn’t some WWE-style exhibition, then this is the kind of event that could genuinely push the sport toward being banned. As much as Jake Paul has improved, there are levels to every profession for a reason.

Jake is basically a Sunday-league footballer with all the kit and gadgets trying to turn up and play in the Premier League. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a brilliant marketer, but if he genuinely thinks he can roll with a seasoned, top-level active veteran, he’s a delusional opportunist chancer.

It’s laughable. It’s like someone doing a week-long course and then turning up in an operating theatre – that level of mismatch. Jake actually needs safeguarding from himself at this point, because this goes way beyond Dave Allen levels of delusion, but it’s what happens to ego-inflated people surrounded by eager sycophants. The fact there are actual discussions about this as a potential event shows how far the sport is sliding into circus territory. It’s crazy that this is even on the table.

And honestly, this would be one of the rare times I’d be firmly rooting for AJ, and he needs to serve Jake up if it happens, just let one haymaker go, and that will put an end to all of it.

The saddest thing is so many so-called 'boxing fans' are happy with this kind of rubbish nowadays. Then turn around and complain when genuine contenders don't face it other.

So what if it looks like a total fix? You think anyone cares?

It's illegitimate either way. If AJ blasts him out in 15 seconds it's just as bad.

That happened firstly on 1 June 2019 in New York, then at the end of Usyk 2 with the Humble Meltdown and last year when Daddy Cool was blasting around Wembley Stadium when the fight with Dubois ended.

This is just the cherry on the icing.

Be amazed if it's anything less than 14oz gloves.
