Fabio Wardley should focus on uppercuts against Usyk.

In my opinion, his only good chance to win is catching Usyk with something nasty and pressing. Go back and watch the Parker fight. The punch that started the onslaught in the 10th round was an uppercut. Great slip and counter. That was the shot that rocked Parker HARD and cost him the fight.

Wardley has a chance here. The guy also has an amazing chin and loves brawls.

Usyk lights him up with punches from angles Wardley didn't even know existed while dancing circles around him.

Wardley shouldn't work on uppercuts, he should pray.

Harsh but may be true lol.

Usyk is superior but Wardley does have a chance if he makes this a nasty dogfight. I doubt Wardley would be really hurt by Usyk.
    Just my opinion!

Amazing chin is a bit of a stretch, Parker isn't a puncher, and Frazer Clarke had him in trouble a couple of times. His chin hasn't been proven in the way someone like Hrgovic's has. I think Usyk takes Wardley out in 3/4 rounds unless he ages badly overnight.

The Parker who would knock Wardley out predicted by most? Wardley is a dog. Poor technician but the guy compensates with heart and seems to be improving.

Yeah, I agree, Wardley has a huge heart and is a great fighter to watch. Going forward, he's got the power and speed to trouble anyone at HW, but I still think his chin hasn't been properly tested yet; he hasn't faced a Zhang/Dubois/Joshua-level puncher.

Has anyone landed the uppercut with success against Usyk besides a much bigger, much more skilled Fury?

Not a great plan. I guess, as far as plans go against Usyk for Wardley, it's good enough.

Perhaps this fight more than any before, is a chance for Fabio to show his offensive inexperience.
Usyk has trained for every type of ‘trained’ fighter. He probably hasn’t faced anyone like Fabio for a long time (if ever).
If he can keep a reasonable defence up, along with his chin, and power it could be interesting.
However, I do agree, he hasn’t faced anyone with Usyk’s power, smarts, and elusiveness yet, So you have to say a TKO, or resounding UD is on the cards.

Fabio be Fabio though, so who knows!!!

AJ in rounds 8 and 9 in the rematch against Usyk had some success with the uppercut to the body and head.

I think Chisora is probably the only heavyweight Usyk has fought who didn't mind taking a punch to land one. Joshua and Dubois' offensive weaponry was pretty much negated by Usyk being able to land on them more easily than they could hit him, which made them both too cautious to try and jump on him. I'm pretty certain that Wardley will just try to walk Usyk down. He's certainly not going to be able to outbox him. And Usyk can be hit... I just don't know if Wardley will be able to hit him

Fury is much more skilled, yeah. But Wardley hits MUCH harder than Fury. If Wardley could land the uppercuts that Fury did? That might be a real issue for Usyk.

Usyk's power? Wut? Usyk is far from a power puncher. He hits hard enough to keep opponents honest, but that generally seems about it.

Usyk has beaten fighters who have better uppercuts than Wardley…

Wardley should learn how to box, but I doubt he can do it, he relies only on his Power, and it will be the same against Usyk, but he won't succeed..
