They're both trying to do the same thing except for the one guy is bigger, faster, more accurate and a southpaw.

    Sanders knocks him out.

Dempsey always liked fighting the big men.
    Dempsey gets him

The smart money would be on Dempsey, but a mistake could be disastrous for him.

If I had to pick a winner in just one fight between them, it would be Dempsey by KO. I could potentially see Sanders catching him once in a series of 3 fights. But, if they fought 10 times, I don't see Sanders picking up a second victory. Sanders was pretty well skilled, and dangerous. But, he was a front runner. When he got tired, or, the going got tough, he would generally fold. Dempsey would sense this and turn up the heat.

I like Corrie over 18 holes.

Jack’s probably not a very good golfer and Sanders was only focused on the golf course.

Corrie would beat him in a shootout. It would be over quickly, in a round or two at most. Corrie wasn't afraid of anyone and threw leather with talent and abandon. Jack's opponents were carefully curated by his management, especially after the distasteful John Lester Johnson episode.

Personally I can't imagine anybody watching Dempsey vs Firpo and thinking "yeah, that's the guy I pick to beat Sanders".

The "big men" Dempsey "liked to face" = Jess Willard who would be smashed to bits nowadays by anybody in the top ten and probably even lower.

    Nonsense.

He banged out a win over Bispo one handed after he broke the other.

Sanders never had any quit. Even when he gassed against Rahman he kept going.

I strongly disagree that Sanders is faster than Dempsey, either in terms of hand speed or footwork; or that he's more accurate.

But I will say Dempsey's head movement damn sure better be on point.
