Best Fight Of The Year 2000

1. Barrera vs Morales 1
2. Tito vs Vargas
3. ODLH vs Mosley 1

These are the clear top 3 IMO.

Ayala vs Tapia 2 was a good boxing match but not quite the brawl of their 1st fight.

Vargas vs Quartey was a good brawl with some memorable rounds but a bit one sided in favour of Vargas.

Tito vs Reid was interesting for 6 rounds then Tito dominated down the stretch.

 

Morales vs Barrera.

 

Its Morales vs Barrera 1 for me but Trinidad vs Vargas isn't too far behind in terms of excitement.

 

EM vs MAB and it's not close IMO

 

Yeah this should be a runaway.

One of that bunch as an all-time classic. The rest are just good fights.

 

Micky Ward had two great fights from 2000 when he fought Shea Nery and Antonio Diaz. Very underrated brawls.

Also thought Junior Jones vs Paul Ingle was a very good fight too.

Takanori Hatakeyama vs Hiroyuki Sakamoto is also brilliant and perhaps one of the best fights of 2000 that not many know about.

 

Trinidad \ Vargas for me. What an era that was.
