So are you saying that there are less deaths in the ring per capita since that change happened?

Exactly. The thing is....it's much harder to compete at peak level when you are 'drained' to make weight than having to fighter a larger individual and you have to match their power.

A smaller fighter can be scrapy and hard to deal with. But a large drained fighter is next to useless IMO.

I doubt many boxers at this level are clean. Lance Armstrong never tested positive for PEDs, same for Marion Jones. Canelo and Fury caught red-handed, Floyd caught but somehow allowed to continue. Working with Conte is a give away.

 I can never take too seriously anyone who starts with "So are you saying....". I said exactly what my post shows.

And deaths in the ring happen for a number of different reasons, not simply to overly being dehydrated. If people want to get rid of day before weigh in, try looking in to something other than just going back to the way it was decades ago, and look at WHY they made that rule change to begin with.

Professional boxing is a complete fraud. Don't believe anything you see or hear. Rigged scales have been a thing in boxing forever. We'll never know what these guys truly weigh. The official weigh in, and the official 'ceremonial' weigh in, and the 'pre fight' post-hydration weigh in, can't be trusted. Any time they step on a scale in front of a camera. None of it is on the level. It's all cosmetic. The promoters, and the commissions, and the boxers, want certain fights to go ahead. All this 'weight' discussion keeps a lot of people busy on these forums, but it's all a fraud.

If Crawford is anything less than 6 foot tall, of course he doesn't weigh 175 pounds. He doesn't weight 167 either, ripped abs etc.

You answered me with a question, so don't get clever. :dunno That said, my point is this: maybe they ****ed up. Maybe it ended up being counter productive to their intent and created a whole OTHER set of problems they did not anticipate. So maybe it would be better to roll back to the last iteration. Unintended consequences. Have I made myself clear?

Surely you will disagree. Cool. Would suck if this place was an echo chamber...

You may have the last word. Cheers, bro.

Yea, I know. With the lack of accountability and willful ignorance you display.... I don't expect any other response from you. Moving on...

Crawford battering Spence Jr and Canelo was very exciting and satisfying.
