Eubank keeps saying how he needs to knock him out but I hope he just focuses on the win. Never like it when a fighter chases the knockout too much. Get the win first and foremost. If Benn gets chinned they’ll just blame the weight anyway. Rather he get outboxed and shown up to be crap.
Eubank coming in at 159.1. He is clearly in better shape this time and he's back with Bomac who trained him to his career best performance against Smith. He wins this easily.
Eubank looks much better this time round, even though this was ceremonial so he'll have put a few lbs on since this morning. Benn's body language / general energy more subdued this time. Have a feeling he's beaten mentally already
Watched a bit of the weigh in. Usual bollocks from the Matchroom lot. Bellew saying the scorecards were too wide and Adam Smith saying Benn has more support than Eubank. If the pair of them had any brain cells between them it would die of loneliness.
Same was watching and had to switch off when Bellew said that after the first fight the public love both of them. There’s no need to blatantly lie. Yes he won a few fans over for his heart and effort but for the majority of boxing fans in the country, Benn is still extremely disliked.
This content is protected They don’t want credible journalists there, they want arselickers like Parsons.
Bellew needs to have a seriously long hard look at himself, he made some unbelievable money in his boxing career, so why he feels the need to have his head so far up Match room fighters is unreal, I caught the weigh in and ended up muted it, for anyone ordering this fight tomorrow night I hope he isn't on commentary, as screw listening to him before and during the fight. I got Eubank Jr winning this on points again.
You have to laugh at the excuses that team Benn get in. "He's a career 147lb fighter". 1308 Days since Benn last fought at 147lb. Its the equivalent of meeting a tinder hook up girl claiming to still be a size 10 and a size 14 rolling up for the date as the profile pictures were 3 years old
The thing is, these guys live in the world of the online casuals. Smith even has his own channel now and is no better than Parsons, other than being able to use his pals to get on TalkSport now and again (but let's be honest, it's the home of casuals' boxing chat - Spencer Oliver FFS). In that world Benn probably is more popular because he appeals to the angry cokehead / juvenile audience just like Benn Sr did against Eubank Sr. People who appreciated what they were watching enjoyed Eubank.
