Interesting matchup. Canelo might be one of the few who can last the distance at 154. But, that does not necessarily mean that he wins this fight. Outside of the wildly inconsistent Kirkland, Canelo doesn't exactly have any impressive knockouts at that weight. But, it is difficult to get an official victory over Canelo in Vegas, so, I would probably make him a 60/40 favorite. But, the first several rounds would be interesting. Jackson would be laying a lot of leather on Canelo, and, likely building an early lead. Could The Hawk hold on to that lead for a close decision win? Hard to say. He never had to.

Jackson gets Canelo outta there. Canelo was waayyy too hittable at 154 to stand a chance here.

Canelo is a guy that thrives on pressure fighters trying to blow him outta there. He's got great defence and an ATG chin. Moreover his bread and butter is countering guys who overcommit and that's Jackson, who had huge power but average skills. I wouldn't hesitate to pick ginger in this one.

Canelo has one of the best chins in recent times, I don't see Jackson being able to knock him out. I'm picking Canelo on points, maybe a late stoppage.

I don't know if Canelo can take one square against Jackson. He had a good chin but you almost need a legendary one to absorb those bombs. Julian was quick as well.
I"m gonna go with the Hawk. One shot would stiffen Canelo's joints.

Here's almost 5 minutes of Canelo eating flush punches without getting 'stiffened' or dropped. His chin is concrete. A single punch or even a single combination isn't going to do it.

Despite how proven his chin is I doubt Canelo could take flush bombs from the Top 5 hardest hitting fighters of all time.

I like Jackson at 154. He's not trying to outpoint Canelo here.

Canelo by decision or KO, Jackson is overrated

Julian was a bit of a freak in terms of explosiveness. This is at 154 his best division.

I wonder how Jackson's glass chin would react to Canelo's flush bombs :boxing1

Jackson's never been accused of having a glass chin until now.

    I apologize.

Having 6 losses all by KO imply a sturdy, concrete-type chin.

Can't think of many of the noteworthy JMW champions that would suit an iron-chinned counter puncher better than The Hawk would.
