Easy fight to make. Who wins? I’d fancy Crocker to chin him. Benn leaves his chin in the air and never takes his head off centre line.
Can see him being a super duper Roy Jones mate and winning a title at every weight class Heavyweight right down to Super-Egg weight
Doesn't bode well for fighters when they gain a large amount of muscle to change weight divisions and then lose it all to drain themselves back down to their original weight.
I think Billy Nelson will say it’s an easy fight for Crocker. If he catches Benn like he caught Donovan in the rematch, it’ll be interesting to see how Conor reacts. This should be the next fight - if nothing else it gives Lewis a payday, and Billy can start getting dripped out à la Rick Reeno.
I am a follower of Crocker and want him to win every fight he's in but I wouldn't think he would win this one based on what I have seen. I had him winning against Donovan (second fight, was getting soundly beaten first time) but it was due to a couple of shots which caused knock-downs and he was losing most rounds outside of that. I appreciate I was in the minority and most had Donovan winning. Thought calling it a robbery was quite ridiculous from those who did, but it was very close. Benn has only just beaten a shell of Eubank who basically didn't turn up. Who knows exactly why, but that is the fact of the matter. Weight drained, just shot since the last fight with what it took from him, something else which he mildly referred to with things going on in his life? Either way. It wasn't the same fighter and so whilst I'd give Benn credit for his good performance I think it has to be a bit limited by the fact that Eubank was no longer the same fighter anymore last night. That was surely clear for all to see, no? It was the main thing I took from the fight and ruined the spectacle for me, personally. Nonetheless I still think for Crocker to beat Benn after the events of the last year I would be very pleasantly surprised and would feel it was a huge upset. More to the point though. This fight won't be next and therefore may not happen at all. In the ring after the fight 2 nights ago, Lewis didn't even get mentioned in passing by Benn, Eddie nor any interviewers with DAZN. It was clearly deliberate. Eddie promotes them both and if he wanted that to be next then the build up would have started there and then
