Barrios isn’t terrible but the Benn that beat CBJ should have enough surely.

I think it will ruin Benn draining back down to 147. Bad move.

Barrios is woeful; he should've lost to a 46-year-old Pacquiao. How he is anywhere near world level is astonishing, really. Even Eggs Benedict, with his limitations, zero defense, and non-existent ring IQ, should have enough to beat Barrios. An actual world-level fighter takes out Eggs in a few rounds, though, most likely.

Honestly Benn. Barrios been looking very mediocre lately. Probably should have lost to PAC and Ramos. A better fight would be Staniosis against Benn.

Agree. He hasn’t fought at the 147lb limit in years. He should focus on the 154lb division, but I understand why he’s targeting Barrios and Rolly, two of the worst belt holders in the sport in recent years

    I just did. Wrong Barrios.

But still, Benn came in tonight at 170 and he's expected to be alive at 147 much less being competitive? I have my doubts.

The current crop of welterweight champions is so appealing right now he could pick up 1 or 2 titles. I think going back down is a bad decision but the risk and reward with the level of the champions is worth it.

Benn has to fight at 147, he cannot fight at 154 there are too many elite fighters at that weight. A weak champion will never come up at 154.

At 147 Benn has arguably one of the weakest world champions at any weight in the sport outside of the midget weight classes. He has to take this. Fast car will slip Barrios a nice thick envelope to sell his belt to Benn.

Barrios is the weak link at 147 lb (the other is Romero), whoever wants the world belt in that weight class has the easiest way with him in my opinion, De La Hoya said a few days ago that a match between Garcia and Barrios would be good.... In any case I'm not sure that Benn could beat Barrios, today I read a lot of comments (especially from casual fans) who think that a new star was born yesterday, I don't think so.

similar level. but benn is bigger, faster, and punches harder, so he is more dangerous. but benn can be outboxed. i dont think barrios is durable enough for this one.
