Adam Kownacki needs a payday for his family. Could also bring Mark DeMori over from Croatia.

No, Rice is a difficult opponent for anyone.

Someone like Junior Anthony Wright or Mike Balogun would be safer.

DeMori was of course the go-to man for Haye's comeback (TKO1) and Hrgovic liked what he saw so much he engaged him too (TKO1). Why not Joshua TKO1 as well?

That delicious, on paper, 43-3-2 record of DeMori's could probably bluff the casuals one more time and he could turn up in one of his heel costumes. Perhaps the purple feather boa could come out of the closet again?

At the press conference, DeMori could try and get under Joshua's skin by continually referring to him as Lazlo.

Let's start a petition for the match...then a GoFund me for Mark (who I've met and is a nice guy but should stick to the Lazlo's of the boxing world).

Perhaps Fury could fight DeMori as his warm-up for Joshua.

Fury takes the microphone after humiliating DeMori and calls out Joshua, yelling "that's what I do to big, dumb body builders."

Cassius Chaney was in training for the AJ fight according to his trainer.

Correct. A few media outlets are confirming Joshua was set to fight Chaney before Jake Paul became their focus again.

Cassius Chaney is a 38 year old former basketballer who has a truly underwhelming record that includes losing 3 of his last 6 fights.

Hearn did say Joshua was set to fight somebody nobody would even know, in an 8 rounder on an undercard.

It was always going to be the worst level opponent they thought they could get away with and Chaney sure fit the bill.

Just read Chaney had flights booked to travel across to the UK to finish his preparations for the Joshua fight.

Hope Chaney gets compensated for being f...ed over.

Hrgovic took the next 10 months off, lets not pretend like has a warrior who immediately jumped back into the fray. The man changed his entire team, changed trainers, changed his promoter, and had a couple of fights fall through before he finally stepped back in the ring.

Chaney is pretty decent for a low level guy, and would be a good test for Joshua at this point. At the very least Chaney will get past the 4th round.
Joshua is coming off of a brutal KO loss, over a year out of the ring, and hes 36. I remember how bad he looked against Franklin and Helenius a few years back when he was changing trainers, so I would be surprised if vintage Joshua shows up instead of the one we saw against Helenius.

Cassius Chaney, formerly known as Lon Chaney Junior, was the actor who portrayed the Wolfman back in the 1940's. He is currently 103 years old, so it's probably best if AJ fights someone else.

Low level guy. Low hanging fruit. Lost 3 of his past 6. But Joshua needs a reliable loser next up and Chaney would have provided that.

I mean, at least he isn't some glass jawed guy. I think he will go rounds for sure, and also throw some punches back at Joshua.

I think they just need to keep him active. He started to build up a head of steam by fighting once every 3 to 4 months. He then took 6 months before fighting Dubois and got pole axed. Dubois notable fought 3 months prior against Hrgovic.
I can understand older fighters needing more time to recover, but a guy like Joshua who has shaky confidence seems to benefit from staying active (as did Dubois).
Not impressed with them dicking around Chaney though, even if he is a lower level guy.
