Jake wins by a panic attack. The thought of losing to Jake Paul is much worse than losing to a fat Mexican.

Not even a good comparison. Ngannou was an MMA and UFC champion. He was in combat sports from a young age. He worked a trained for those titles. Paul, although somewhat successful hasn't the skill or experience as Nagannou orJoshua. Plus Ngannou is much bigger than Paul. Joshua lands the same shot that slept Ngannou on Paul, Paul may not be the same again.

Do you guys actually believe paul is stepping in front of a Joshua who takes it as a serious fight?

The guy who fought old washed up mma fighters? The guy who couldn't beat tommy fury?

If he fights a Joshua trying to take his head off like against ngannou, he could just as well fight a hungry wolf or mountain lion.

It would be way easier to fight crawford or even bivol. They wouldn't remotely pose the same danger to his health. There would be way more time to stop it.

If it happens, it's heavily regulated...

Is it worse than the Paul-Tyson fight which got sanctioned as a pro fight? A man nearing 60 fighting a juiced up opponent 30 years younger.

When that got sanctioned literally anything could.

Im all for this. Jake Paul receiving this death penalty is what he deserves for discrediting the sport by fighting Mike Tyson.

It was another aberration that should have never been sanctioned either.

And those poor journeymen selling their health for a handful of dollars.... those ****ing fights shouldnt be sanctioned either. Anything being zero competitive shouldnt be sanctioned. And if promoters dont like it as far as I'm concerned they can go **** themselves. A boxing match should never ever be an execution.

Every boxing fight should be minimally competitive, not only because of the show, but because of fighters' health.

Eddie's upfront that it's a naked cash grab. "Legacies don't feed you," he told the TalkSport guys the other day.

He sees it as a springboard to an AJ-Fury fight arranged by Turki.

    Sad....

I've always defended AJ. He is \ was a decent HW, a former x2 time champion with some good wins. But this fight, if true, tells me he is absolutely not serious about the sport anymore. Even if he wins, this damages his legacy. I have zero interest at all in this mess.

I will be astounded if this fight happens. Expect the usual Jake Paul BS before the fight, only for it to fall apart a week or two beforehand. Zero chance he goes from fighting cab drivers and losing to reality TV stars in 8-rounders to fighting a 2x world champion and Olympic gold medallist who is about four stone heavier than him.

This is a lose-lose for boxing. If it is scripted, casuals will think the sport is something you can play around in. If Joshua actually fights properly, Paul could end up with a significant brain injury, and then the sport looks awful for letting it happen. Floyd and McGregor really set the genie out of the bottle for these circus events, and look how far we are now down the rabbit hole. It's pathetic; no other sport would entertain such a farcical event.

In fact, going out there and taking Jake's head off in round 1 will generate some buzz for AJ. He's even incentivized to make it fast and brutal. Which he is fully capable of.

I agree. I will watch in hopes that AJ knocks Paul out in the 1st by scarey KO. The type of KO that keeps the commentators silent for a few minutes, trying to guage what is going one. You know the type, were the commentators say things like, his eyes are opened, that's a good sign or he's sitting up now, after being still for 5 minutes, then taken away on a stretcher then put in an ambulance and taken to a hospital for more checks to ensure he will be OK. Of course, I don't dude to have any permanent issues except fear of fighting pro boxers ever again.

There won't be any danger in the fight. It will be an exhibition with a bit of tickling. Jake paul is not going to get in a ring with AJ in a proper fight and get splattered in front of millions for a few quid, he doesnt need the money. If it happens its a business transaction between the two to milk the public for a quick few quid with no risk involved for either.
