Would love this fight next for Adam, he would be the first guy to stop Barboza Jr, Something Teo Lopez couldn't do lol..

Azim points maybe, but he really hasn’t stepped up so it’s hard to know.

He’s beat no one who’s at contender level or world level, they’ve all either been low level or washed up like Lipinets.

We had the same hype with Amir Khan and look how that got derailed vs Prescott! I reckon there's a weakness in Azim , maybe his chins a bit fragile as he's fought nobody really. Scoby's record looked decent on paper but, it's literally full of knock overs and Azim barely put a dent in him.....Khan went on to do some great things in all fairness and was always good value for money. I've seen nothing to suggest Azim is close to that level of talent and potential accomplishment.

Lol I've not seen any weaknesses in Azim he is not Amir Khan .. Adam has taken shots with no signs he has a weakness in that area .. people need drop this narrative..

Yeah but Khan fought HOFs and monsters. Against the guys Azim has been fighting he’d look like the GOAT.

Please don’t compare Azim to Khan yet. Khan arguably had a HOF career and was a monster at his peak.

I think Azim is definitely improving. And he seems far smarter than Amir Khan in the ring. Also a but more disciplined and power that can carry late. Not quite Beterbiev power, but more the type where every opponent would think twice before swarming through him.

Though we don't know much on his chin. He hasn't taken shots like Khan (and hopefully he doesn't have to). Also, there are plenty of weaknesses in his attack. For example, he often attacks low hooks, which against counter punchers with power would leave him vulnerable.

He might be smarter but Khan is far faster. Azim looks decent but he doesn’t have the physical attributes Khan has. For example I see Shakira easily pick Azim apart, while Khan is the definition of a nightmare match up for Shakur. Also does anyone actually see Azim beating Maidana?

That was the whole point of my post, Azim is NO Amir Khan....sorry if I didn't make that clear. I reckon Dalton Smith beats him, particularly if he gets past Matias

Good fight, it's a better fight for Adam than someone like Catterall or Hitchins, who would turn it into a messy, awkward technical fight and probably win over 12 rounds through experience. I don't think he stops Barboza if Lopez couldn't. Azim has a lot of talent, but he still has an amateurish style. I think it's when he fights someone with world-level ring IQ that we will see how good he actually is. Bulldozing C-grade punchbags is doing nothing for him now, and he needs a real step up in class.

I haven’t seen Dalton so I can’t comment. But most these guys at 135-140 couldn’t lace Khans boots and would get schooled badly. Teo is one of the only guys at that weight I’d pick to beat Khan, Ryan too because he’d have a good chance of catching Khan, but idk if he’s willing to do sit in the fire like Danny did.

Yeah he was rocked a few times by pillow fisted Aram Faniian. And there's rumours he got KO'd in sparring.

Certainly does have an inept background/genetics when it comes to things like punch resistance (amongst other attributes). As you can see here with his brother getting stopped by Ilya Popov.

Azim is a really good prospect, he is obviously very talented but he really needs to get going with some direction, it’s been a strange journey so far, the euro title situation was really not a good look at all and going forward what are the actual plans for him, is he still tied to boxxer? Is the plan just to have him on the 4 bbc shows per year? Anybody know what the deal is?

    Geezus, my guy.

That's like saying the guppy in my fish bowl is not quite great white shark ferocious, but he's ferocious enough to make the other fish think...lol
