If he faces Kabayel instead this is all good as far as I'm concerned, but I'll be dissapointed if it's a trilogy with AJ or Fury or anyone else, really.

Wardley, for all his flaws, and Kabayel are the definite front men imo. I'd actually accept Parker also, but that seems unlikely with his upcoming ban.

Is anyone else sick and tired of the disrespectful oh he's just a ''white collar fighter'' no he's a world class heavyweight and 6-4 in rounds and having Parker in serious trouble in round 2 is not remotely ''outclassed''

As for Huni there was nothing controversial about it at all as he did not beat the count and was visibly very groggy when he got back up after 10.

For the WBO is 3% of the purse, up to $250k. 2% for a unified champion, but still up to $250k.
They take this from both combatants, and the promoter also pays a small sanctioning fee and a wellfare fee: up to about $15k for each fee, or something close to it.

Promoters also have to pay an annual registration fee to the WBO of $1k. And then there are all sorts of fees the promoters have to pay for officials.

The whole thing is a massive racket. Now make it 4x for undisputed champions.

Usyk is mad because AJ will be paid $50M for Paul fight although he has no belts.

He is a white collar boxer just as Usyk is an Olympic gold medalist and that has been the narrative and would be the narrative after Usyk schooled him. I think he's done amazing to achieve all he has coming from a white collar background with no amateur career and even though he has proven so many wrong at every step of the way and has proven himself to be legit now (albeit it not without his fair share of luck in his 2 biggest fights) we all know exactly what the narrative would've been after Usyk beat him

He was outclassed by Huni prior to the hail Mary bomb which is who I was alluding to when I said ''outclassed'' and many feel the stoppage was highly controversial as they do the J-Park one too. Would Fabio have been stopped by those refs had the shoe been on the other foot? I think not

As said, I'm a big Fabio fan and I'm genuinely pleased for him to now be able to call himself a world champion

Fury fighting AJ for a belt would be a disgrace in the year 2025. Neither deserve a title shot.

Well , usyk has enough fear of this white collar boxer to even drop a belt to NOT face wardley .

He’s holding the belts hostage for the biggest paydays possible and realised that Wardley could upset all his plans and future pay days/legacy. Fight Wardley, Kabayel or Itauma or retire.

Wasn’t Usyk just saying he’s going to fight till he’s 41? Zero reason to avoid Wardley when he hasn’t fought in 4 months and won’t fight in another 5. Usyk vs Wardley should’ve been a done deal for Q2 2026. The simple answer is he wants his Fury trilogy for a maximum payday, which will spoil a potential Fury vs Joshua fight in 2026 and further stall the division. We’ll probably never see Fury vs Joshua now if this is the case, and the rest of the division will be fighting for the scraps of the WBO belt.

Disappointing. It's one thing to do this when fighting frequently and there are many potential challenges, but fighting once a year and all the pointless rematches is making it harder to be a fan.

Usyk wouldn't make enough fighting Wardley to make it worth a training camp. That's what this is about.
