I don't think Haney will RUN from Norman. I don't think he can do it and make it look like boxing against Norman. Norman isn't jumping on and off the line. He's sneakier. This content is protected This content is protected
I used to think this True Geordie bloke was just a gronk but he actually knows a bit about combat sports. He can be extremely bias when someone has a rift with him like Tyson Fury and Conor McGregor but apart from that he usually gives an honest opinion. To be fair I don't listen to him often so I could be wrong lol.
Haney is a coward but is facing a dangerous puncher like Norman, fought a dangerous puncher like Garcia, fought a master boxer like Lomachenko and plenty of former champs. He called out Teo who wanted nothing to do with him I still doubt his chances against Norman but Norman is sort of an unproven commodity at the top level who dodged the biggest payday of his career to face Ennis which was the best fight to make at 147 at the time Call Haney boring or criticize his punch resistance, I don't question his willingness to take on big fights
Great post. I don't like how haney spoils fights by clinching agressively and ducking under the waist and 'running'. And I don't like how he cruises like a 9-5 worker when he is clearly winning, not entertaining one bit. But his list of opponents looks great and way better than many boxers I enjoy more. He does take challenges. And I don't know Norman but judging from all the voices on here, he seems like a legitimate threat. And that's the maybe the one thing that makes me doubt Rummy's really interesting and creative hypothesis and observation, that haney might be shell shocked from the garcia match and that it was visible in the ramirez fight - which might be the case - that Haney chooses a dangerous puncher as his next opponent. Respect for that. Hope Norman brings the danger and then fair play to haney if he overcomes it. It's a bit like with Mayweather. You have to have dangerous opponents for Boxer types in order for the fight to be exciting. Or you really have to have a great technician of the same level. Btw it's hard to blame haney for being a pure defensive minded boxer - he doesn't have the Power or chin for anything else. I only blame him for being uninspiring when outclassing his opponents. And maybe a little bit for the weight bullying which btw seems weird that it is possible to make so much weight - and then the snac connection, but he is hardly the only one
I think the second half of this sentence cancels out the first part, to be honest. Haney definitely has flaws, and suing Garcia was a weird move. While he's definitely got mental scars from that fight, and he definitely thinks he's catching an inexperienced and young Norman before he hits his prime, I wouldn't call him a coward. I wouldn't call any pro boxer a coward, but definitely not one who has fought at his level, even if he is a very difficult person to warm to.
I realized my grammar on that wasn't perfect. What I meant to convey was haney is a coward? He is facing...... I think its fair to critique haneys fighting style or personality or out of ring choices but he showed guts vs Garcia and is taking on big fights
I just saw Haney carrying on like an ass clown at the latest face off. Can't really blame anyone for hating the gronk.
First time Devin doesn't look drained out of his mind in a weight in. Looking like a bigger welterweight than Brian Norman ffs This content is protected
