Will you be buying the DAZN Ultamite subscription?

We have been here before with DAZN. PPV's were supposed to be included to subscribers early on. The there were super special PPV's that were not included. Then it didnt include PPV's at all

How long until the first PPV thats considered "too big" for ultimate subscribers and the same path is followed?

i joined dazn when it came out was 20$ a month and promises of no ppv... then they slowly raised price and made ppv on top of it breaking the promise.. then they released this ultimate model on top of regular dazn.. i had enough and cancelled a week ago. so no i will not be

 

Why is it twice as expensive in the United States? I would do it for $25 a month like in the UK. $500 a year is crazy.

 

Problem is the 12 PPVs they are offering are not known in advance, so you have to trust that they'll be good *and* that the best ones won't end up on PPV anyway. What's going to happen is they are going to take some mediocre fights and elevate them to PPV just to say the fulfilled their promise.

But I'm not going to be a part of it. If DAZN had old school HBO production then I'd probably do it, but I'm not paying $500 for high school AV project quality.

 

Same reason a $75 PPV in the US is $25 in the UK. The Brits just wont pay it, they wouldnt get any buys. The US market has been conditioned to pay a much higher price than the rest of the world where boxing is concerned

The most salient/telling point here is - 12 PPV’s per year?!

I know they are saying that to justify the enormous cost increase - but all that tells me is that any card worth seeing on DAZN from now on is gonna be a PPV. So it’s just gonna be all the low level under the radar stuff they won’t be charging for.

They went from “death to PPV”, to “ok some PPV, but we gotta do it to make the fight”, to “all PPV all the time, pay up or get crumbs”.

Deeply disappointing, and playing us all for mugs. I’ve been a subscriber since day 1 too, as I wanted to support a pro boxing network.
