I was actually talking about the clip at the 4:17 mark...that i couldn't time stamp properly for whatever reason...where a late career Fitz was receiving a bludgeoning from somebody called Bill Lang. The footage was extremely clear for it's time.

Corbett's speech is interesting to me. He uses certain arcane (or just idiosyncratic?) expressions that I've never encountered in anyone but him, and I've read a lot of literature and nonfiction of various kinds from the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

For example he often says "not alone" where today we would say "not only". You know, as in, not only will I loan it to you, you can keep it. Corbett will say something like, "Not alone did I fancy myself the best fighter on the west coast, but the best fighter in the whole of America".

He does that all the time, and like I said I've never run across that from anyone but him.

Fascinating. The first thing I notice is that whatever upscaling was used seems to have prioritized correcting the frame rate and restoring an accurate sense of motion, while taking a much more "hippocratic" approach (i.e. first do no harm) as far as actually enhancing the imaf=gary itself. Most on the clarity seems (?) to come from using really good, well preserved source film.

And the frame rate correction helps to make it clear that some of these guys were blazing fast.

The guy who had the technology to do that is gone at the moment; smooth legends was his name on YouTube. You could find some good AI upscaled fights form him.

He constantly insults other posters. Non stop nasty behavior. You can't ask him a question or contradict one of his statements without getting blasted. It's too bad because he's a fine researcher and writer but it seems he always gets up on the wrong sudd of his bed.

I spent three hours in my attic, trying to dig out my old dossier for this thread and now you're basically telling me it was for nothing.
