A pointless rematch that would end with the same results. Let's move on.
    Would rather see:

Terance Crawford vs Janibek Alimkhanuly / Erislandy Lara winner
Canelo Alvarez vs David Benavidez / Anthony Yarde winner

Honestly I don't see anything Canelo could do differently than in the first fight. The Mexican has been in decline for some time, as was also evident against Scull. I'd say Crawford should win on points again.

Predictable and is the logical lowest risk move for both of them.

In my opinion, you are a diva if you don't respect the sport that has done so much for you.

Dudes been fighting once a year this whole decade whilst being in his super prime, his resume is comically thin for his accomplishments. Yet, he has the nerve to go around in most of his interviews portraying himself as some boxing unicorn and downplaying other LEGIT all time greats like Pacquiao while legit never putting himself in a REAL challenge. Like ever. Learned from the best while he had his time with PBC I guess.

He is a great great fighter, passes the eye test every time (Ive always maintained he would whoop Spence, even before the car crash. Back then people were saying Spence was the one that's too big and Crawford is a natty 140 hahahhaa); but he's been chasing money fights only for years now (prize fighter blah blah blah I get it, but don't go around talking about how you're chasing legacy when you clearly are just looking for the bag. Can't have it both ways)

Correct me if I'm wrong. Crawfords accomplishments are on par or better than the other top 5 fighters of the last decade. Canelo aside, who he just beat, the only other fighter that has a better resume is Usyk, who also fights once a year.

Crawford ran? We must have watched different fights. With respect to this thread, although I personally am not interested in seeing a rematch, I feel that Alvarez is within his rights to request one.

It's purely for the money this time so I understand.

Canelo winning the rematch wouldn't redeem the loss in my eyes.

these are legit great fighters well matched and both close enough to their prime that i can't argue with it. bud totally owes canelo the rematch if he wants it, but like every other rematch, i expect that the first winner opens up his lead. bud by wider ud. if they give a good undercard will pay pretty much whatever they ask for the ppv.

Meh. Crawford will win again. Canelo can't handle elite pure boxers.

Actually I disagree with this. Canelo has a great rematch history, albeit small, but he can make adjustments. Not in-fight adjustments but his camps can help him fight entirely different a la GGG 2.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Canelo was injured?

Eh every fighter believes they are the greatest - they kind of have to at least when they're actively fighting. Bud has resentment against Pacman because Roach/Manny passed on Bud's challenge/callout. And, to point out the obvious, a lot of tribalism goes on in sports. Blacks back blacks, hispanics back hispanics, asians do so for asians. So Bud taking a stance against Manny, and indirectly supporting Floyd, is just a racist thing. Not surprising at all.

Combination punching. That's really it, imo. He stunned Crawford a few times, but Canelo just throws single shots for some reason. If he can cut off the ring and throw a series of decently powered combos instead of one big shot like he's been doing, he could have some success.

The question is, can he even do that anymore?

    I don't know.

Wait that's his only rematch to date, right? When GGG was getting further and further away from his prime at the first time already and Canelo was getting heavier and stronger.

Isn't that exactly the opposite development from now? I simply can't see it.
