I guess there is still money in it. Who else is there that is a big enough name to get Crawford paid

I have no real interest in the fight, Crawford won their fight too easily for me to be interested in a rematch. In hindsight the Scull fight should have been more of a warning coupled with Munguia and Berlanga being wiped out by lesser guys. Canelo came up just short on his big right hands, maybe a few years ago those shots connect and it's a better fight vs Crawford. He looked lost, clueless and angry in their encounter. And much like his Mayweather fight he never turned it into a war like previous Mexican warriors

In the second or third round Crawford backed Canelo to the ropes and I right then and there I knew it was over. Crawford's shots were the only ones doing damage and he dictated when and how the fight was fought. Canelo will only be older and slower and Crawford will only be more acclimated to the weight.

I really don't have much of an interest in any of the fights out there. He could face Janibek barring Janibek gets by Lara (I think he does) or he could try and lure Bivol down to 168, Bivol offered to face Canelo there. Its a great fight but not really necessary for a guy like Crawford who has had a great career and can hang it up whenever he wants at this point.

If Crawford breaks his 1 fight a year schedule and fights atleast twice next year then I'm fine with this fight happening. Otherwise just move on and fight Janibek.
Hate it when a fighter who's as inactive as Crawford takes a rematch as their one fight of a year.

Canelo is not a power puncher and his 61.8 KO percentage is proof

    Wasn't meant quite so literally.

But I stand by the general point. Undisputed rather hinders good matchmaking than helping it.

So it would be a good thing if getting undisputed makes you lose all belts but be #1 challenger for all of them. Or something similar.

This way everyone has something to fight for instantly. Even the undisputed fighter.

The way it is now, everyone is dragging their belts around and since they fight at most twice a year and some of the fights aren't even the mandatories - you have like 1 challenge per year for four belts... And then one undisputed fights another undisputed of another weight to make a super duper fight, while 8 mandatories are waiting, some of them for years...

That's not a fan friendly system

Obviously my ideas are not intended for instant implementation. Rather meant as thought provoking

Hope Lara doesn't spoil your wish lol. Im a big fan of Janibek tho I expect him to beat Lara. But been a Lara fan for years as well lol. Hate to see him lose most likely but to Janibek I can take that haha

Late in the fight, when Canelo became tired from chasing him.

Canelo is shot. He's been fighting for too long. He has somewhere around 25 fights more than Crawford.

I respect your opinion but I don't think Canelo has the will to be more consistent, the Mexican has never been very good at cutting off the ring, even less so now than in the past, as was clearly evident against Scull. The ring always has the final say, and nothing is ever certain. It's nice to make predictions, but every now and then, we all make mistakes.

Yeah, I don't think he can do it anymore. He stamina has declines rapidly. Same with his already slow feet. Crawford might age overnight though. Who knows?

Canelo is the Taylor Swift of boxing.

Just leave, fella. It's over. Your knees are shot and your heart isn't in it.

All he's doing now is depriving other boxers of their deserved shots like Benavidez, now Janibek, etc. etc.

The rematch is the right choice. There is no one else for either fighter.

For Crawford, Canelo the only worthwhile fight. Janibek is champ of one of the weakest divisions, beating him means nothing. And he don’t want the smoke at 175….so it’s rematch Canelo or bust.

Canelo is in the same boat. Who else does he fight? He doesn’t want 175, there’s no other big name 168 or belt to pick up. So Crawford is only big payday that also improves his legacy if he wins
