@ Flyweight or Super Flyweight. Two supremely gifted southpaws who were both very technical but also explosive and exciting to watch as well. How does a prime Too Sharp handle the footwork and aggressive style of a fighter like Bam?

    I'd favor Bam.

Too Sharp's prime weight was 112 not 115.

Do you give Too Sharp a better chance against Bam at Flyweight?

Bam is better than Top Sharp ever was and is significantly bigger.

Bam is pretty much the truth at 115, along with Donaire and Inoue.

bam is better, no doubt. he has as few weaknesses as you could hope for in a fighter. he has the iq, technique, power, chin, temperament, youth, and clout, to go as far as his genetics will let him.
its funny that people are still doubting him at this level of his career. just shows how much people actually know about boxing when they look at him and think guys lose to him cause theyre old, lol.

Bam definitely edges it with his better footwork than Johnson’s. As well rounded as a prime Johnson was I actually think Bam is the more complete fighter based on his abilities and who he’s beaten.

I didn’t think Bam would easily dismantle Pumita but he’s just on a different level. I think it’s strange how Bam is still getting hate even after beating a string of great fighters at such a young age. And it’s not like he’s a boring fighter or has a detestable personality. Bam is excellent to watch and he’s honesty the best fighter in the small weigh class next to Naoya Inoue.

its so obvious that those opinions arent based on boxing and reality. they are emotional reactions, not based on reality. the way girls focus their arguments. estrogen outbursts, lol.
but seriously, this kid is everything you could ask for in a fighter. says what he means and does what he says. in the ring, where it counts.

Yeah, he's an excellent fighter without a doubt, Rodriguez- other than the wobble against Gonzalez he's worked at the sort of level physically and technically that I'd associate with a great fighter. I like how he's convincingly cleared the old guard out from what was a really good generation of fighters at 115. Estrada, Cuadras, Sor Rungvisai etc. And thrashed other capable fighters like Edwards, Cafu and Martinez in the way a potentially great fighter should. He reminds me a bit of Saldivar thus far, not to jinx things. In terms of ability I'm not sure there's anyone better p4p tbh. The consistency of his defence could do with some tweaking and refining but other than he's fairly formidable and is looking like a tough nut to crack at this stage.

Hopefully he ends up facing Nakatani in the near future, it's one of the very few potential fights I'd be keenly interested in.

I'm pretty sure most on here haven't seen Johnson fight because Johnson was very good in his prime and could be a nightmare to face based on his speed and being a southpaw.

Mark too sharp was a hell of a fighter in his hey day but Bam is just too good right now. I do think Johnson would be competitive but I think Bam would beat him.

I can promise you he isn't out boxing Johnson that isn't going to happen. And I really like Bam but Johnson is simply too fast to attempt to outbox.

Great fight, but I'd have Bam edging it. I'm sure Johnson got into the top 5 of the P4P rankings at some point. Excellent fighter, but I think Bam is better.
