    Sad news in the boxing world today. Martirosyan passed away after a two-year battle with cancer. Rest easy, warrior.

    That's sad to hear considering how young he was. He always gave a good show in the ring.

    Absolutely gutted. Martirosyan was someone who didn’t duck anyone and feared no one. Fought till the bitter end. Solid fighter and a nice fellow.

    No way. I just seen a thread posted a few days about him having cancer, I had no clue it was in the advanced stages. I'm shocked. He was a great fighter in his prime and was in some good scraps in his career. RIP VANES. Gone too soon.

    I knew he had cancer, I read it on Twitter, he was diagnosed roughly a year ago. It was Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
