Crawford is 38 years old, a sudden decline in a boxer's performance can always happen at that age, Archie Moore and Bernard Hopkins were exceptions.
I'm a big fan of them both, but I'm not interested, tbh. The first fight answered all the questions that needed to be answered. Move on.
It will be a controversial decision for Canelo to setup fight 3. Will put money on Canelo win to capitalize on the match fixing.
If Canelo was actually held back in the last fight by an arm injury it could set up a pretty good trilogy of fights.
What a waste of time. But milking their names for a rematch was the obvious choice for both guys. Its both of theirs safest big fight, and likely only real mega mega payday. I think all involved are overestimating the interest the public has in this, and shouldnt be too surprising if this winds up losing the promoters money. meh.
Even if both take less money to make the rematch it will still be more than they would get against anyone else. Crawford knows he can win again and Canelo probably thinks the worst that can happen is he will out box me again he can't really hurt me.
Yup.... very safe match (not even going to call this a fight) for both guys for what would still likely be their biggest payday.
