he got shot in the mouth at war and came back to become world featherweight champion!

They made Bleed For This about Vinny Paz, they should make a Criqui biopic too!

Plus, he was handsome! (my bisexual side here showing up again lol!)

58 knockouts in 104 wins is not too bad either!

What did he do not to be remembered as much these days? Did he commit a horrible crime or something?

    He was a fantastic boxer!

    I agree

I wonder if he just gets less attention because people tend to view fighters from that era as less great. idk

I saw something about him recently, I think it was a piece in one of my Ring Mags either side of 1940,

I've been skimming through them recently.. anyway Antonio, I'll have a look over the next few days or so and if I find it, I'll try get a good few photos of the piece and maybe link it up for the Board here or send you direct...

I'll have to find it first, which might be a ***** if I am remembering the years wrong, as I have 200 or so of them from 1938 - 56 anyway, I'll have a boo.

Tbf to Rose, neither had boxed when he created his list in the 1960's.

He was also dead before Sanchez turned pro...I guess Pedroza would have had a few fights though.
