Because Paul winning would make boxing look like a joke and it would probably be the biggest embarrassment in boxing history.

I'm not a fan of Paul he's a grifter but he does what he has to do to sell fights and make money good for him.

But for boxings reputation Joshua needs to put Paul in his place and knock him out.

I’d like to see JP get destroyed but I suspect this fight won’t be on the level.

Why would Jake Paul winning - (unlikely as it is, ie. seemingly impossible) - make boxing look like a joke?
It would be a great upset victory.

Like it or not, Jake Paul is a boxer.
We all think he's a pretty poor one, but if he beats AJ, the logical thing would be to say he might be a good one, no?

It's funny, if Bivol moved up to heavyweight and beat AJ, everyone would call it a historically great victory and easily the 'pound for pound' best .....
..... but if Jake Paul did the impossible and pulled it off, we say it's "bad for boxing" ?

I'm not going to watch this garbage but I also have to support Joshua, conditionally, and if he gets a fluke loss, part of me will never let him live it down, even though he could easily murder me with nothing more than his tadger.

if Jake Paul actually goes through with this fight, he’s officially got the biggest balls of any man to ever step foot in the ring. To be an inexperienced, 6ft tall, 200lb club level fighter and get in there with a 6’6”, 250lb, Olympic gold medalist, former two time HW champ with a 90% KO ratio and who is only 36 and a gym rat always in fighting shape…

    Yes

If AJ does manage to pull this off he's the undisputed GOAT ;)

Cassius Chaney has never been stopped so who knows he might have given him rounds. I wonder how Chaney is fairing in this camp with Jake Paul.

One is a seasoned vet of the sport, the other is a youtuber that took up the sport for ****s and giggles about 5 years ago.

OT: Paul because it’d be hilarious

Not really. We have seen him fight before. He's ****. Eye test says it. He lost Tommy Fury too. When I say **** I mean compared to actual good fighters highly ranked. He's a good fighter in that he'd beat most of the population in a fight. That's what training does.

If this fight is on the level and he beats Joshua, it's the biggest upset in boxing history and does make it look like a joke. AJ isn't losing this if it's legit. But it won't be. Probably a draw sparring match.

I don't understand how you think an online influencer beating an active world class boxer who looks like a midget compared to Joshua would be good for boxings reputation.

When Fury struggled against Ngannou MMA fans were laughing at us online.

Also with Paul winning we would get more of these stupid fights so it's better for Joshua to put him in his place.

I think the Tyson fight did this. People don't want to spend money on a staged fight.
