With Taylor's elevation, the WBC will now likely order Chantelle Cameron vs Sandy Ryan for the WBC 'world' title.

Katie Taylor's husband has 5 children that she has become step mum to. So not sure when Katie will find the time to lace them up again.

Long career in sports going back to her football days, maybe one last fight in early 2026 a possibility but it can't be easy the older she gets another long training camp and cutting weight, dealing with minor injuries let alone having to keep motivated.

Lots of other avenues to go down, coaching and even media work lots of companies would certainly use her for advertising especially here in Ireland. Deserves to reap the fruits of her efforts, openly said I'm not a huge fan of womens sport let alone boxing but she's certainly driven it forward in a positive light.

The WBC have now confirmed Chantelle Cameron has been upgraded to world champion (under champion in recess Katie Taylor) and have ordered Cameron to face Sandy Ryan as a mandatory defence of her title.

"Big things in the works...Stay tuned" - Katie Taylor sounding like she might be fighting on. But Hearn says she is still overcoming injury.

    Katie Taylor vs Ronda Rousey?

There are reportedly negotiations taking place. Boxing rules. Las Vegas to be the venue. Netflix might be involved.

Could do sizable business but Taylor way out of Rousey's league in a boxing ring.

Rousey hasn’t had a MMA fight in 9 years. She was a brilliant grappler but a terrible stand up fighter, and I mean really bad.

Loved it when Holly Holm fixed her wagon at the height of her hype / arrogance

Easy money for Katie....pretty much retired if this is the route she is going.

Only fight of interest left is Chantelle Cameron. Maybe Caroline Dubois.

Ronda Rousey is a so many levels below .... Holly Holm would have at been more interesting and that too is a mismatch.

Is it? She got a gift decision after being bashed up by a woman who is a part-time boxer and full-time worker.

    2026 final year for Taylor?

“This is my last year, probably, in the ring boxing. I’m going to be 40 this year.

“I would love to end my career here in Ireland. And I would absolutely love to have an opportunity to fight here in Croke Park. That would be the icing on the cake for me. That would be an absolute dream come true.

“Whoever the opponent is, I want to end my career on a high here in the country that I love and the country that I’ve represented throughout my whole career. I love Ireland.

Netflix will certainly be in on this fight.

Croke Park? Be a huge financial commitment for the promoters, it's a huge stadium, unless the undercard is decent and tickets are reasonably priced and I mean with families in mind I don't see a sell out. I live here and she is popular, but not quite as popular as some may think.

Ireland does not stand still when she fights, despite what Edward Hearn, claims.

    Fair comments.

There has been previous discussion amongst the power players, including the ground manager at Croke Park and they just don't see this happening.
