Jack Dempsey -Harry Wills?

I like Dempsey in this fight ,by stoppage.

 

What an intriguing match-up. It's a wonder they never tried to make it.

 

No idea, but I'm in a minority that ranks Wills higher all time. Different people have different criteria, but Wills certainly has the better win resume.

Wills was slow, dirty and relied heavily upon clinching, wrestling and leaning on smaller opponents. He would have been tailor-made for Dempsey. Dempsey by mid to late round KO.

 

Absolutely. And why I would pick Wills over Dempsey in a bout.

 

Just after reading Jack Thompson's opinion at the time, he has no doubt at all but that Jack wins. He was Dempsey's sparring partner at the time and had around 10 fights v Wills.

Dude, he's 39 yrs old and 100 fights into a career where he was facing everyone else who was avoided.
