Wilder getting knocked out again is a proper conclusion to his carefully crafted and coddled career.

The ironic thing here is he won't be viewed as a duck by future generations because he fought all the best HWs of his era except AJ and Andy Ruiz. He might have lost to most of them but he did fight them. So Wilder will still gain something by losing here.

He'll shed the "carefully crafted and coddled" rep. Not right away but in 20 years when someone who didn't live through the last 10 years sees his career they'll see Wilder as someone who fought the best and came up short not a Quacker.

And you can go "he fought Parker, Zhang and Usyk after Wilder lost his belt that doesn't count" but thats exactly why his management team deserve to make the HOF. They did this **** perfect. Got the rewards first and insulated it with respect second. Thats how its done.

when i ask google how many americans are boxing fans it tells me about 33% of adults. thats various 10s of millions of people. most fans are gonna know who is the heavyweight champ.
maybe your assumptions are wrong. maybe you should pick somebody else to make generalizations about. so which do you prefer: google is talking out it's ass or you are?

Easier touch and another big payday before he calls it a day. No issues with it. Kabayel or Wardley doesn’t sell.

Wardley sold well enough to get a fight with Parker. Why would money be an issue?

As has been noted on this thread, for some reason Turki and apparently other bankrollers somehow think Wilder would sell better than Wardley or Kabayel ... perhaps largely because he's American.

Well, on this question I check the two key boxes: I'm American and I'm a fight fan. And I couldn't give a rat's ass about this waste-of-time fight. If it's PPV, I won't pay; for Wardley or Kabayel.... oh hell yeah I'd pay.

I frankly wonder to what extent nice-guy Usyk is doing this to help Wilder out....?

Wilder was never a huge draw.
    Fury
sold Wilder to the American public.

Turki obviously buys into Wilder for some reason.

The money or legacy talk of usyk is really complete nonsense.

Of course usyk vs kabayel or usyk vs wardley would generate a WAY higher purse and a WAY higher legacy for usyk than fighting a completely shot wilder who im current state has no chance and poses no threat in the ring against usyk.

Usyk knows this but he simply fears to loose against kabayel .

Currently , sad but true , it appears you need to be shot to get a shot against usyk . Usyk is not willing to face a true challange .

He ran from parker , he ran from wardley , now he runs from kabayel .

Usyk is 38 years old, just about the same Luis Ortiz was when Wilder had that "ATG win" of his. Stans on here championed Wilder as one of the best HWs ever so maybe lightning can strike twice for Deontay now that his opponent is 38-39...apparently Deontays sweet spot.

In beating Wilder, Usyk completes a sweep of the HW era. Not necessarily meaningful now but will look good historically. And its not like there's a legitimate alternative right now...Kabayel finally stepping up in his mid-30s doesnt move me much. And Sanchez/Zhang are old AF too...Parker really **** the bed imho

Fight the mandatory or give up the belts, simple. Kabayel is an astromically better fight than a washed up CTE riddled Wilder.

No chance. He’s been on an undisputed, mandatory or rematch run for 4 years now. Had to beat them all twice. If he wants to fight Wilder he can fight Wilder!

There’s always someone else people claim a fighter is ducking. He’s just done AJ Fury Dubois x2 back to back. He’s definitely not afraid of Kabayel or Wardley lol.

Nobody says he's afraid. But he ducked the to fight corpse of Deontay Wilder. Now that's embarassing.
