Canelo or GGG, ¿who do you think will be remembered more fondly as the years go by?

I posted a link earlier in this thread to a site that detailed media scorecards from GGG vs Canelo 1. 18 scored for GGG, 3 had it a draw and 1 for Canelo.

The difference is you are incorrect and the press majority is correct in this case.

 

Apparently official results don't mean anything and we can just choose who won a match based on our opinion, so Canelo >>> Bivol I fear.

 

A draw was the most common score after the fanboys who got 116-112 GGG. There was no robbery.

 

The fact a person arguing for Canelo cites a group of scores, the most common of which was 116-112 to GGG, to make his case, speaks volumes.

 

Sitting ringside as a judge isn’t the same as watching a TV or sitting in the media section with zero qualifications.

 

I've seen dozens of scorecards for that fight.

All other factors being equal, the probability of the worst being one of the three official scoring judges is extremely small. And yet.......

Unlike Adelaide Byrd, media and fans future all expenses paid work, didn't hinge on scoring to the A side.

 

It shouldn’t be upsetting to you that the second most common card ended up in line with the official verdict. That indicates fandom over objectivity.

And GGG failed in the two chances that Canelo graciously bestowed on him to rectify the supposed injustice.

That being said, it's up to the fans of this generation to hold the corruption accountable. Canelo and his fans stole GGG'S greatest victories and his legacy fights. Some of the fans push the narrative that Canelo actually won fights that he lost. Golovkin tied Hopkins alltime middleweight title defense record in a far more exciting fashion than Hopkins did, by absolutely obliterating the Competition, leaving 18 out of 20 challengers in a heap. Only two made it 12 rounds. Canelo fans threatened by GGG try to discredit this achievement. They aren't just greatful that Canelo received two undeserved wins. One who stole something shouldn't be allowed to enjoy it without accountability. GGG fans will be out and about when it's Canelo's HOF moments arrive.

 

I have no skin in the game either way. I've posted on this thread that Canelo ranks higher all time, p4p.

I did not contribute to the reported media scorecards, 18 for GGG vs 1 for Canelo. I'm just citing that fact. Forgive me for thinking of that, allied with the split of hundreds of fan scorecards hugely in GGG's favour as material, and your individual opinion as irrelevant.

 

Golovkin won the first fight. Golovkin should be the one bestowing the second chance. Especially when Canelo was caught cheating. There is no way that Canelo should gave been double rewarded for his bad behavior.

 

Was Canelo robbed? If so you have every right to acknowledge your disagreement.
