What does Wilder mean to Fury's legacy?

All those guys could be rated as dangerous due to their huge power so how is Wilder unique in that respect?

Moreover Joshua didn't fight any of these guys except Dubois who knocked him out.

It's unlikely to happen but a MASSIVE part of me wants Wilder to land a KO punch from the Gods - it would be dead funny and all MR associates would be mad as hell lol.

 

Wilder is a bum, but the best Fury ever beat who wasn't completely washed up. Pathetic resume from Fury.

 

Boxing discussions drive me mad sometimes. AJ and Wilder were both top boxers 5 - 7 years ago.

The fact that they’ve aged and form has declined doesn’t mean that they were never good.

Dubois beat AJ easily. Does that make Wlad a bum ?

Wardley just arrived at the scene, lol. When was Joshua supposed to fight him? And when AJ was looking at fighting Zhang people were saying he's cherry picking the loser.

Wilder finally fought a real contender

 

Imho wilder was a great athlete and did a lot for the sport .

He fought often , faced many opponents . His fights were always thrilling and explosive , everybody was waiting for the nuclear right hand .

I think the fury trilogy was a great resume booster for fury . The fights ( especially 1+3 ) were massive .

I,m a big fan of wilder . Now he if course is just a shadow of his prime , he should retire

At the time, Wilder was avoided by Joshua and being touted as one of the most dangerous and heaviest hitters in heavyweight history by the likes of Holyfield and many others.

 

When he was fighting Ngannou, Helenius, Franklin, etc. Wardley was a tougher matchup than those guys for sure.

Post Ruiz, Joshua's competition outside Usyk and Dubois has been extremely underwhelming.

Wilder wasn't just avoiding Joshua (and it was blatantly obviously that way around - Wilder even admitted as such for the hard of thinking at one stage), but also avoiding Whyte and making no attempt to fight anyone decent - the "why" there is pretty obvious if you're not wrapped up in the OTT hype.

Wilder never proved he was a legit contender. That status is earned, not assumed.

He defended the WBC belt how many times? 10 or more?

 

Fifty years from now, the Ali-Frazier fights will have taken place 100 years ago.

People don't talk about 100-year-old fights much.

Because there will be 100 years of better fights that have happened since that mean more to fans.
