Against mostly very mediocre journeymen? Those defences mostly aren't worth the paper they're written on.

The question should be why the WBC the supposedly most prestigious belt in boxing, allowed him to fight those men for their title?

That were the no1 contenders at their time . And guys like arreola , szpilka , molina in their prime as well ortiz past prime were maybe not goats but also not only cans .

Its insane - nobody but some guys here considers wilder,s career as a fraud or a bum career . All boxing experts give him respect for the 10 title defences and nearly 50 hw fights he made .

    Its unfair against wilder

Usyk, the significantly smaller man in terms of size, clearly defeated both AJ and Fury twice, the two main heavyweights who avoided fighting each other. Usyk's legacy is secure based on his cruiserweight achievements alone, while his accomplishments at heavyweight only add to his greatness.

Fury, on the other hand, avoided a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko, fought Wilder three times, then spent several years attempting to avoid Usyk until he eventually could no longer do so.

Hes 6'3. Muhammad Ali sized. George Foreman sized. Larry Holmes size. Buster Douglas size. You all act like hes a little person.

Cruiserweight is tweener division. While CW is HW the problem is Usyks title fights bear a label they otherwise wouldn't have. Because a ranked Cruiser isn't a ranked HW etc.

Usyk doesn't have power except the power of his fans imaginations.

Were any of those men fighting guys 50 lbs heavier than them?

Yeah, Usyk is the size of a prototypical 70s-80s HW but was fighting in an era that was dominated by SHWs. That's what's made his size notable.

Its pretty underrated, Fury was literally cherry-picked by Wilder because of his long lay-off, poor mental state, and many people ignore it but Wilder was actually a stylistic nightmare for Fury before Fury changed his approach in the rematch.

Fury overcoming all that, going through one of the hardest shots a HW has ever taken to fight back to a draw and then just demolishing Wilder twice is very impressive.

Pretty much the same in most era's. Holyfields reputation falls apart if you dig into it. Bowe's whole career was based upon beating Holy 2 out of three. Holy had a losing record against the big name fighters he fought.

Fury was the lineal champ. AJ wanted that fight too. A big reason AJ and Wilder didn't fight is they were waiting for Fury to either get over his issues or for enough time to pass for lineal to be in play again.

You don't "cherry pick" the lineal champ. Being the lineal champ is what every boxer dreams about.

These guys were(mostly) bad for title contenders. Stiverne was a god awful champion the worst of modern times. Mediocre and journeymen are loaded terms neither of which fit here. These guys were not medicore journeymen or journeymen of any kind. They were high regional level fighters.

    Mean a lot

People can downplay Wilder now but he was an elite fighter at one point

Fury will be most remembered for 2 things

Getting up in the 12th round and the 3rd fight

    Both vs Deontay Wilder

Which is incredible because he dethroned Klitschko and had 2 good/great fights with Usyk

I agree with this sentiment but there's no way Fury vs Wilder is a great trilogy than Ali vs Frazier or Holyfield vs Bowe

    The 2nd one wasn't really a demolition

    More like a war
