What does Wilder mean to Fury's legacy?

I understand that Fury was better in the Wlad fight

Still Wilder showed he was world class at the highest level

I completely agree.

And being defeated, clearly and twice, by a contender who's nowhere near his best (and obliterated him when he was) shows a lot.

Fury had a habit of turning up in poor shape against opponents he knew weren't on his level, and he got away with it by pretty fine margins a couple of times...
If Wilder had been legit, he'd have won #1 and #3... The fact he was beaten both times should tell you all you need to know.

 

Ortiz in 2015/2016 likely defeats Fury/AJ/Wlad. And if thats not true you can't really prove it.

If AJ fought Wardley at the time you would complain he's cherry picking an inexperienced prospect who never fought anyone good. Both Whyte and Wallin was rated higher at the time, in Top 10 of The Ring. Ngannou wasn't cherry picked. He just embarrassed Luke Partridge and the public needed revenge for boxing and AJ did just that.

There were rumours he may fight Zhang in late 2022. People like you were complaining he's cherry picking the looser, lol.

1, despite being dominated, he did come close on the counts once Fury gassed and became easier to hit - but should've lost a clear UD when that didn't happen... It's not that special a losing performance IMHO.

 

Breazeale was worse than 'okay'.

For reference I don't like Wilder and I thought he was a bit overrated but this guy goes to next level in regards to hating someone.

He tried to tell me the samething ages ago that "Ortiz was a gatekeeper not a contender" even though Ortiz spent 6 years rated as a top 5 Heavyweight.

He discredits Ortiz because he don't like Wilder it's simple as that.

Now I'm not saying Ortiz was some great fighter but saying a fighter who was rated a top 5 Heavyweight for 6 years isn't classed as a contender is ridiculous.

He never negotiated with Zhang, Zhang wanted that fight for years joshua avoided him

 

Ya if Anthony Joshua had beaten Luis Ortiz then Ortiz would have been a legit contender haha
