Kubrat Venkov Pulev vs. Murat Georgievich Gassiev & Bakhodur Usmonov vs. Daniel Maxi Hughes RBR.

A perfect left hook and Gassiev is the new WBA world heavyweight champion. I wouldn't be surprised if the Russian defends his title against Itauma in 2026, who I think will convincingly defeat Franklin in January.

 

If... I know people dont like this talking. But if Gassiev fight with someone with harder punch he is over. Wallin wobbled him hard and outboxed him.
If Kubrat was younger he probably will win decision with Murat. His footwork are horrible thats why he was non thread for Usyk even if he was great great and dangerous CW.

 

At 44 his brain will never be the same now. Once you go down like that and at that age it now makes him more susceptible to KOs.

 

What a dreadful sparring session that was ... ,cause that sure wasn't a fight

Im convinced Gassiev dont even train alot anymore. I genuinely think hes had a little mess around in the gym, rocked up tonight and put Pulev out. Pair of them, call it a day.

Murat always got brutal punching power and he catch him very clear. Pulev chin is still solid. Probably not same as in past but for real... Dude got 44 years old. Almost all boxers are retired for 3-4 years in this age.

 

I think getting his brain rattled at 44 will affect is future fight. Maybe I am wrong but getting a concussive punch at 44 ain't good for your brain. Making it more susceptible now to punches.

 

Gassiev is now the fifth ever heavyweight world champion from Russia. The other four being: Valuev, Ibragimov, Maskaev and Povetkin. He is also the first to be born in the Russian Federation and not the Soviet Union.

 

I think Pulev will retire now. I dont know how much he earn in this fight but he should be rich person in this moment. He also is star in Bulgaria. Dont know if he still is in relationship with this singer from Bulgaria but I think he now can enjoy his after sport life/
Maybe easy fight in his country for "good bye". There is no reason to continue this story.

I will remeber him as pretty damn good boxer with great jab. If he will be got 25% more punching power he will be really great. Lack of power make him work harder and give opponents more time to try but he was really good.

In his prime I would love to see him vs Parker. I think he is on similar level. Maybe litlle worse.

 

He really should retire. Gassiev was fighting like a fighter looking for just one punch and he found it. He could still make money just for youngers guys to get his name on a card but that would really suck.
