Itauma would finish Gassiev in 1-2 rounds

    He's gotta get in there with Gassiev first. I think that's a good fight to make in the division and as of now it's 50/50 IMO.

    Thank you hall monitor! I'll make sure to parse my words and choose them a little more carefully next time at 4:10AM in the morning, after 4 hours of sleep in a 48 hour period, and a 10 hour RBR under my belt! I was being lazy, I should have said, AJ had to drop him thrice in 9, and Wlad 4 times in 5. It only took Gassiev once!

    Don't worry, I know Wlad one shot KO'd him and earlier, it's one of my favorite HW matches of that decade, and by no means am I attempting to denigrate him. He'd obliterate Gassiev. It's WladIMIR by the way!;)

    If the fight happens, the first few rounds will be difficult for Gassiev due to the disparity in speed (mainly in speed of foot, as I think Gassiev has deceptively fast hands); but Gassiev has a good chin and can tuck up nicely behind a high guard, so he has a very good chance in avoiding the fate of Itauma's last few opponents of being bombed out early. And if the fight does go past the first few rounds, I would back Gassiev to clip and stop Itauma, as Itauma becomes increasingly tired and less mobile.

    I really don't think Gassiev would beat Whyte.

    The rest like McKean, Balogun, etc - yeah Gassiev should beat them.

    Yeah, I think we'll be seeing Itauma V Gassiev in 2026.

    He's, what, 45 now? I don't think there's anything particularly impressive about sparking him at this point, and further Pulev looked like the better fighter up to the KO. It's actually bizarre just how shot Gassiev looks for a 32-year-old!

    Not super impressive, but the only people to date that have dropped Pulev and Wlad and AJ, it's not like he's taken a ton of punishment in his career. He's a very well preserved 44. So Gassiev deserves more credit for doing that, than Itauma does for his wea stoppages over Whyte who's a shell of a man at this point, or Wach, who's even worse. He's stayed around long past his sell by date.
