I doubt it. You could even see the hesitation and disappointment in John's eyes right before he tapped. He probably wanted to be choked out until he passed out. But to quit... eh.

 

For what it's worth I've picked Sadjo for the upset. Because he's incredible at cutting the ring off, underrated head movement and defense, brings non-stop suffocating pressure, punches his opponents anywhere he can land, and he's got legit power. Could Pacheco catch him early and take him out? Sure, that's always possible. Although I think his power is overrated at the top level, and if Sadjo ca take it, and I think he can. He grinds him down and gets him out of there in 8.
