Jeff Fenech has become a grandfather.

 

Titles and legacy are no longer in his reach after the manner of his last two losses. I think that ship has sailed. A horrific one-sided 3-round beatdown, probably the most one-sided title fight of the last 18 months, and then another shutout against Fundora, where he looked completely lost at sea. Tim could be a fun fighter to watch and could pack out a few more shows in Aus, but he needs to stay away from the elite names at 154, or he will get badly hurt.

Fought an experienced opponent in Luna and was able to dominate with her length and southpaw angles.

 

Nicholson on points is close to the safest bet in boxing.

 

According to Mick Francis of Tasman Fighters, promoter of Opetaia, a contract already existed for the winner of the Jack-Mikaelyan rematch to fight Opetaia in the new year.

Assuming this is correct, that means Opetaia-Mikaelyan in the new year.

“A loss of any description would be disastrous for Tim,” Lewis said.

“If he doesn’t win, he will have to find something to do in life."

Lewis & now Fenech teeing of on Tim, i can see this comeback ending in tears, don't think Velasquez is the person to do it though.
I agree some of Tim's comments sound arrogant. He was alot more humble at start of career.

 

These days I sort of take anything Fenech and Lewis say with a grain of salt.

It's getting that way, Fenech is to boxing what Neil Harvey used to be to aussie cricket ( let's go talk to Harvey for a headline).
Johnny Lewis is way out of touch. Truth is, Lewis was a fitness coach. Great at getting fighters into ridiculous fighting shape and having them fight like crazy to win for him. He had a nack of making his fighters love him.

 

Yeah and Fenech seems to get bitter real quick. I reckon he thought he would be more involved in Tim's team but because he isn't he is bitter.
