Haters out in force in this thread. These people would still find fault if Crawford beat Usyk. Crawford has made enough money for several generations of his family and still has his health. I say more power to Crawford and thanks for the memories.
Yes clearly.. the guy has clearly suffered both physical & mental trauma, plus hes a raging alcoholic too. He's fought twice in 5 years.
Crawford has nothing left to prove, really. He was either avoided or priced out for years. Al Haymon was absolutely terrified to throw him in with Spence, and now we know why. It's pretty crazy to me that a fighter can jump up three weight divisions, dethrone the guy who holds all the belts, and then be called a fraud or have a questionable legacy. Not only is he a credit to the sport because of his demeanour, but he was an absolute A-tier technician who was always entertaining to watch. A well-deserved retirement and a truly amazing fighter, it's a shame we won't see him again in the squared circle. I wouldn't have him alongside Robinson, Leonard, Duran, or Napoles, but he is a top-15 welterweight of all time and has a fantastic legacy. There is nothing that separates him from Inoue or Usyk P4P, all three are head and shoulders above anything else we've seen over the last decade.
Or... he was shot, like I said he was before the match. Getting rocked by a non-puncher in Ugas is clearly a red flag.
He has made generational wealth. Retired undefeated. In good health. If he wants to retire more power to him.
Crawford is a great fighter. Hope he enjoys retirement. I hate when former champs end up with lifelong health problems. He made his money, hope he invests it wisely and stays happy and healthy post retirement. Well done champ. Well earned retirement.
I wonder if Canelo can entice him to come back? He cemented his status as an ATG, I wish him nothing but the best .
World class puncher LOL.. He couldn't even knock former LW Redkach or a shot Zab Judah out.. & Ugas is nobody.. he'll never get close to the HOF.. Pac was 42 & hadn't fought in 2 years. Spence beat a feather fisted Ugas.. so what? Even Crawford himself acknowledges that Spence seemed 'off' in their fight anyway.. weight cutting problems & ongoing health issues relating to the accident .. so don't act like it couldn't have long term consequences just because he managed to scrape ONE win together .. Spence was damaged goods.
Enjoy your retirement champ you're a hof fighter and a true ATG who proved alot of people wrong including me. No need to carry on and nothing left to prove the people who hate you will hate you no matter what you do. Thanks for the memories.
They want him to fight until he loses so they can tear him down then say see i told you he was never any good in the first place, a hype job despite being almost 40 and past his best. Im glad he isn't going to give them the satisfaction, I love it!
Theres a lot of bitter posts on this thread because of the jealousy that Bud turned out to better and greater than the forum's hero, Loma.
