I saw the video of it. Jake is trying to act goofy and funny because he is scared.

Paul's actual height is 5'11 so it's a good 6 inch difference.

 

For everyone worrying about Jakes health don't worry, he's rated WBA #14 at cruiserweight. So, a ranked boxer vs a former world champion, the WBA wouldn't rank someone that high unless they were good.....real good.

 

Also I'm watching the press conference Chernena Johnson is still the best looking boxer I've ever seen.

 

Paul listed at 6'1. There is no way in hell he is that height. Joshua is 6'5.5". Looks almost 10 inches difference.

 

If by some wild stretch of the imagination Jake Paul wins, will that affect anyone's opinion of our modern super heavyweights?

 

No. We already know AJ is a chinny bodybuilder bum, and he's shot and inactive now, so if he was to lose it shouldn't reflect on any other fighter.

Having said that I would make Paul a 100-1 or maybe 1000-1 underdog in an actual legit fight even against a shot chinny bodybuilder bum like AJ.

 

Jake and Logan were laughing about the height difference after the previous press conference, Jake admitted he lied on wikipedia and is in fact only just "6 foot", but that's probably exaggerated too.
He was taller than a 58 year old Tyson, but how tall is Tyson now?

It's unlikely. It seems Jake Paul is so badly over-matched, and this is any way on the level, he'll fall down from a weak shot, a grazing shot, a glancing shot. That's usually what happens in a gross mismatch.

I think it strange that people are wishing death on this 'kid'. I'm not sure what he's done to offend people so badly, to be hated so much. I've never watched his fights because I'm not the targeted audience. I've taken an interest in this one because I can't remember missing a Joshua fight for a while, and as Joshua is not a world champion or even a contender these days I don't have any reason to 'boycott' it on any point of principle. Although I do think Joshua deserves some criticism for taking the fight, and I'm surprised he's getting so much support.

 

If this is all "legit" and on the level, and Jake Paul really believes he can win, I think his advisers, people around him, have a lot to answer for. Of course he's the 'boss' but if they're blowing smoke up his ass just so they can take their cut, it's kind of sad, and potentially tragic.

 

Or Joshua takes it slow as always, and then explodes with a wicked 1-2?

A lot of people think that Joshua will win this in seconds, but Joshua is a slow starter. However, once he gets going he explodes. The best example of this is the Ngannou fight.
The first round Joshua didn't do much at all, he used a lot of feints and footwork to get to his preferred distance and positions, at the same time he was gauging what Ngannou had to offer. Of course Joshua scored the early knockdown, but the punch itself was not that heavy - it was a quick right hand down the pipe that caught Ngannou of guard.
Second knockdown in the second round was not that hard of a punch either as it was a quick pull counter from Joshua, Ngannou simply walked into it and it was enough to hurt him because of it. But that KO punch... that was a full swing homerun right hand from Joshua, and I am not sure if Paul walks away in full health from a similar fight.

Thankfully Paul is in his physical prime, and seems quite healthy, so hopefully there wont be a tragedy here. And besides, I doubt it would be a war where a lot of damage can accumulate.

However, if Paul does get seriously injured or even die, then I hope that it scares everyone enough to put an end to these influencer boxing matches, and forces Netflix to step away from these freak fights.
