I dont agree with everything you said. PBC and Haymon KNEW what Crawford was. They KNEW Bud destroys ALL of the WW stable and all PBC had was its WW stable. Haymon/PBC thought Fury was finished and Wilder attempted to cherrypick him. PBC/Haymon couldve had Bud in 2017-2018 and they focused on collectively talking trash about "crossing the road" in regards to promo companies...and some IDIOTS lapped that up as if it meant anything.

Bud wouldve sonned 2018 Spence, Thurman, Danny, Shawn, and even Manny - who Roach swerved.

    Bud was always the goods.

Not sure how anything you said was disputes to what I wrote. It actually runs parallel with what I stated.

Pointing out the actions of the individual players involved doesn't mean Haymon didn't know the dangers of what Crawford fighting these guys were. Clearly they knew it as well, because when a fighter is the 'A side', they get the fight(s) they want most times. With the failed attempt at making the Postol a PPV card (with zero promotion from Top Rank), players like Thurman, Spence, or even Porter/Danny would have been the A-Side in the match up.

Both Keith and Errol verbally called out Jeff Horn after he took Manny's title. They both expressed unification. Crawford comes in the division and snatches that title from Horn, and then all of a sudden, they were very casual the WBO. Keith Thurman even started saying he doesn't need it to be Undisputed. Fighters know who the problems are in the sport. They are all peers. So they were in no way against what they knew the "powers that be" were doing to Crawford.

And yes, I feel like Crawford would have been Undisputed for the 2nd time by 2020/21 had the fighters all decided to get in the ring with him, including Manny who didn't face Crawford even when both were on the Top Rank banner, before the "wrong side of the street" excuse was being pushed.

Oh I should've specificied I dont think Arum was complicit in any way. I think PBC/Al tried to cherrypick Fury - only reason PBC worked w Arum/Top Rank. The blame should rest solely on Al Haymon and all the fighters who talked **** and kept fighting scraps. Spence actually forced Al/PBC to let him fight Bud which ONLY happened after Porter fought Bud and it was close for first ~8 rounds (not different from Jose Benavidez fight).

Oh, okay I got you, but I'll have to disagree. Bob Arum openly said that he was against making the Manny Pacquiao fight when Crawford was at 140. The Postol fight was suppose to be a measuring stick of Crawford's ability to see if he could be a marketing tool with Manny. That PPV attempt was a FAILURE and that is not on the fighter. There were zero advertisements for that fight before the week of the fight which is crazy because Crawford was yet to be considered a household name and American boxing fans knew nothing about Viktor beyond recognizing who his trainer was. After Crawford 12-0'ed Postol, Arum showed restrains from making the Manny fight as Manny was putting pressure on him from his side and hinting to leaving Top Rank (which he eventually did). Arum ended up sending Manny overseas to fight some guy name Jeff Horn and Manny lost his belt on the cards to a man that did a lot of dirty tactical actions that didn't even get warnings and he should have been stopped in the 9th.

Bob Arum dangled the Manny fight along with making the Thurman & Spence fights with PBC as a recruiting tack to get Crawford to resign with Top Rank. 3 fights he didn't deliver on. They also used Crawford to launch the ESPN+ app with the Benavidez fight. And during all this time, Bob Arum pushed Tyson Fury & Lomachenko heavy while Crawford was being dominant at welterweight.

The WBO had to mandate the Shawn Porter fight because though Porter was made the mandatory for Crawford's title after Vergil Ortiz sat in that position for 19 months and turned down a opportunity to exercise his mandatory status......Porter was casual about the Crawford fight as well. Bob Arum offered $2M I believe when Porter's camp denied. Bob Arum was going to walk away without working in more numbers so the WBO was going to have a purse bid for the fight. Bob Arum expressed his disliking of Eddie Hearn publicly announcing that he would put in a bid to take the fight. That same weekend....all of a sudden Bob Arum and Al Haymon settled on an agreement and the fight was made. After Crawford stopped Porter, he announced in the post interview that he will not be resigning with Top Rank and will officially become a free agent.

Because while Crawford was with Top Rank, Bob Arum was defaming his valuing suggesting that he couldn't sell Crawford and that he was causing him to lose money and things like that......Crawford filed a lawsuit against Top Rank (being one of many big names to do that in the past like Floyd Mayweather, Mikey Garcia, Oscar De La Hoya, etc...) and eventually settled out for much less than he was suing for due to it holding up his negotiations for the Spence fight.

Bob Arum definitely carries much of the blame for Crawford's struggles to get the sexy names on his resume in his earlier in his career.

It wasnt Arum. It was Roach.

    https://www.*******.com/articles/roach-admits-crawford-not-my-favorite-fight-pacquiao

    Insert boxing scene above

"It's a fight we're talking about, it's not my favorite fight in the world, but I know that it is something that we might have to fight next. I've watched him, he's like a young Mayweather, but he's a little more aggressive, he hits a lot harder . This guy has great legs for twelve rounds. He can move very well in the ring. He can even run when he wants to. But during those exchanges, when he stops, he does punch very hard. That's a very difficult fight."

    Roach from October, 2016

Arum was still living large off Manny and all that money and Arum wanted Bud to be a thug like Floyd, but thats Floyd not Bud. Bud stayed true to himself. Roach didnt want Manny to take an L and Arum backed that up since Manny fed him for past 10 years.

It was Haymon solely. And Roach if anyone else. Haymon was a RAT and he RATTED to get Manny over to PBC and wanted to feed/build Thurman/Spence. Those guys were just never on that level.

I don't disagree with any of this, but I wish I could find the interview in which Bob Arum even admitted to not being willing to push the fight between Bud and Pac. It was around the time Arum put in the atmosphere that he was losing money with Crawford. IMO, that's was evidence that he knew Crawford was getting impatient with his lack of promoting him and lack of effort in getting him the fights he requested at 147.
