    Its one thing to have to cut the ring off and worry about shots coming back at you.
    Its another thing if they aren't even throwing ANYTHING at all its pretty easy.
    AJ has NEVER had to cut off the ring?? Nobody ever tried to move on him ?

    Jake is not a better boxer than AJ. Joshua has the pedigree, he's a former Olympic gold medalist. Jake Paul is a Disney star

    Yes, looks silly he didn't just take it in hindsight. If that was on his manager he should be pissed at him. Would have been an easy-ish pay day.

    AJ a slow plodding heavyweight. He didn't hold back, for what pupose?

    Early in his career AJ was fighting bums and they were last 2 or 3 rounds sometimes. It's not surprising that an older, lesser AJ might take 6 rounds to catch up with a younger man in a 22-foot ring.

    Nothing's wrong with me, Jake ran like a ****** for 4 rounds, got tired and got stopped. AJ wouldn't be able to stop Haney, Stevenson or Hitchins for 4 rounds either. Would that be fixed too? AJ is a plodder with a bad gas tank, he threw a few haymakers that missed, he didn't want to gas himself out, so he started pacing himself and not putting full power into them.

    Not patting my back here, Ive made more bad predictions than I can even remember. But those are often for more complex matchups involving high level fighters with deeper variables on how styles will mesh.

    But these circus match predictions are usually a bit easier.

    My circus match predictions have been


    Mayweather TKO 10 McGregor

    Fury to UD Ngannou in a scary match. (Fight was closer then I expected but I did expect Ngannou to test Fury a lot and was worried about an upset)

    AJ ko Jake in 4,5,6

    ....

    Only fight that didnt look how I thought it would was AJ vs Ngannou, thought AJ would win a UD where he patiently outboxed Ngannou in a competitivish fight while having a few scary moments. Like a poor mans Wlad vs Peter.
    He was able to capitalize on Ngannous aggression in a way I didnt think he had in him. Fair play.





    Most people though thought the boxers would destroy their opponents early and easily in all of these matchups, outside the just complete morons who actually thought Jake and McGregor would actually win.

    Most people tend to overrate the boxerwhile underrating the opponent in these matchups, and really dont understand a lot of why these matchups played out the way they did, both attribute wise, context wise, style wise, and mentality wise, and it shows in both their predictions of the fights and their shock and cries of fixing after the fight doesnt go how they think it should.

    Exactly. Some of you are forgetting that AJ is far past prime at 36, coming off a long layoff, after suffering a KO loss, and the last thing he wanted was to get caught by a wild shot by this clown Jake Paul. He was being ultra cautious. That combined with Jake full on running like a track star, and falling down every 2 seconds, is what made the fight last so long.

    Watch the vid. AJ took a few right hands and jabs that broke sweat and made AJ do that stiff little chicken dance he usually does when he takes a shot to the temple.

    But ultimately the size difference was just too much for Jake to really put a dent in AJ. But a few more of those and it could've been Andy Ruiz again.

    People are going to bring up why didn't AJ take Jake out as fast as he did the much bigger Ngannou? Ngannou came forward towards AJ, Jake did the opposite, he ran.

    If Jake had come at AJ as straight forward as Ngannou did, he'd have been out earlier as well.

    AJ pulled his punches and didn't let his hands fly like he should have even when he had Paul pinned down or when he was within range. Come on. You people seriously need to get your heads checked.
