Yes, because AJ isn't quite that good. At 36, and after the Dubois defeat, do you expect him to be any good? Like elite, like perfect.

You think AJ's spent his whole career getting it perfect every time? Watch his fights. He's often struggled, looking like a stiff robot, especially against opponents moving.

It would actually be interesting to know how many boxers 28 years old or under too.

So what you are saying is that in 4 rounds AJ couldn't /wouldn't land one punch on those boxers ?
And you really think Jake is anywhere near ANY of them in terms of movement and defense???

I was thinking that when he was smiling after quitting on the floor with a broken jaw in a fight he ran and flopped in for 6 rounds.

These guys are paid too much, to the point that losing doesnt really matter to them, and fair enough I guess in this context, this loss shouldnt maybe matter to Jake all that much in the grand scheme... but still, its probably pretty easy for a lot of people to smile on a loss when they just made $30 million or whatever.

I see Jake get all this credit for fighting AJ and on one hand I get it, and he should get some credit, but really, how many men wouldnt fight AJ for that amount.

How many men would fight AJ for 1 million, let alone 15 to 30.

Anyways Im rambling... ya like Jake said, hes already won.

Did they have an agreement to go pass a certain rounds who know, but in my eyes Joshua did not fight like he wanted to end this early. The lack of body shots. The jumping back and resetting when he cornered him. He had the reach advantaged and he just stepped back. Not sure how anyone can argue he was not holding back. When he wanted to he easily let his hands go and it hurt Paul.

I was editing it as you were quoting me, he was throwing with full power and missing by a mile, so he collected himself, and to avoid gassing out, started pacing himself and not putting full power into them. Waiting for the perfect shot to go all out, and when he got that shot, he took it. Maybe not a kill shot, but for **** sake, he shattered his jaw. He didn't hold back that much. Not sure what this is all about. But you all do sound ****ing crazy.

Plenty of times he could have hurt him earlier if he tried.
Quite easy to make a fight look realistic if you have one guy moving around and one barely pressing him , what else are they going to do? Can’t you see Joshua pulled his punches ? What does it matter Paul ran around a bit if you can see Joshua is pulling his punches ?

Would he fear the power of Sunny Edwards? Of course not. Would he be able to catch Sunny Edwards? Of course not.

AJ's a stiff power puncher who can look great against stationary targets with little to no foot work or head movement. As soon as someone moves around a bit or puts it on him he can get in trouble.

I mean, Bumgannou just stood in front of him with his cement block head and lump feet. Against guys like that AJ can look like a million bucks shutting their lights out.

Yeah because AJ is going to gas out throwing a few hard punches against a sideshow who poses literally zero threat to him lmao. Are you for real? Nah. We're not ones coping hard right now.

No, but put me in the ring with AJ, I can run really ****ing fast for about 12 minutes. Jake is younger, smaller and has faster feet. When someone is cowardly and doesn't want to get sparked, they can stave it off as long as their stamina holds up.

Pretty sure the script called for no serious shots until round 6, and even then that shot wasn't full power, and we don't know that Paul's jaw is broken just because he said it was. He was talking pretty good for a guy with a broken jaw. A bit of blood from the mouth doesn't mean a broken jaw. You could see early in the fight that when Paul came into range to get hit, Joshua didn't throw. He was fresh early in the fight and could have nailed him, but instead threw only 4-5 punches that mostly missed. You could see in 20 seconds from the start that it was fake. Joshua didn't nail Paul with the shots he threw at Ngannou... he wouldn't have gotten paid the $100 million he was contacted for if he did.
