Jake Paul definitely watched Haye vs Wlad and used Haye's tactics.

I think Jake was being elusive enough to avoid being punched clean for the first few rounds, when AJ was gunning for it, and AJ being the mental midget that he is probably got in his head and started pondering the possibilities, and calmed his ass down. Like I just said to Yorbals, what's more embarrassing? Getting dropped by Jake Paul? Or going a few rounds with him before KOing him? He could've sparked Helenius in Round 1 as well, but he didn't want to risk it. He played stay away with Ruiz in the rematch, because he didn't want to risk it. When all of boxing is literally relying on you, to rid it of a fraud, you really don't want to **** that up.

Youre using the word cope, as if Im the one trying to cope with something here.

Not sure you understand the word. Youre the one trying to cope with how this fight played out, not me. Unlike you this went pretty much how I thought it would and like usual Id have made money on it had I chose to make the drive.

If you dont know why a fighter can be nervous when fighting on netflix, in front of all your boxing fraternity peers, in a lose lose match against a guy everyone expects you to blast out in 30 seconds and if you make one wrong move against you will get eviscerated as how a 'Youtuber' landed punches on you, again, then I dont know what to tell you. Id think thats a pretty easy concept for most people to understand.
Its not about being nervous to lose, its about being nervous about being flawless against someone youre supposed to look flawless against.

In fact I think I heard Haye even mention that its a different kind of pressure fighting someone youre supposed to embarrass like this, then when fighting someone youre expected to have a proper fight with.

A boxer starting slow against their opponent because theyre 100% certain they will drown them eventually isnt rigging a fight lmao. A boxer not going balls out trying to stop an overmatched opponent isnt a rigged fight.

But lastly, I genuinely want to hear your reply to this...

Go to 0:25 of round 1.

Watch that sequence in slow motion. Look at AJs body mechanics, how hard he throws that punch, and where it lands. The idea he threw that shot, that had Jake not blocked it on the gloves just right while leaning away, could have ended the fight right there, that in this 'fixed fight' where AJ has agreed to carry Jake, they choreographed that Jake would miss getting knocked out there by barely blocking an AJ power cross just right, I mean give me a break lol.

Did AJ start slow and measured? Obviously. As I figured he would. As I think most people that know boxing thought was a realistic possibility.

    Thats not fight fixing lol.

You don't think Jake paul has the power to hurt AJ if he landed clean? News flash he does. AJ was fighting smart , he knew if he fought stupid and ran into something it could be a disaster so why risk it? You guys need to stop acting like Paul is a random youtuber who punches like paulie malignaggi

That sounds plausible , if we only saw the result and not the fight . I saw Joshua not punching when he had opportunity to do so, pulling his punches, throwing weird jabs like he had a tick from miles away, not throwing body shots.

I think AJ found Jake more elusive than he expected and he started to panic somewhat and was trying too hard to force the KOs early on. And by Jake being elusive, I do mean running but like you said AJ doesn't always react the best mentally to adversary.

What happened in his last fight? He got KO'd leaping into an overhand right to the temple. Even the great Manny Pacquiao got skittish against a non puncher like Bradley and Algieri, who the old Pacquiao would've walked through like crap through a goose.

Helenius was a former world class HW who actually had the ability to hurt AJ, yeah he played stay away and stayed on his bike for 12 rounds against a world class boxer and didn't gas there. You're kidding yourself if you think he was the least bit worried of gassing or being tagged by this clown.

Of all the crazy things that happen in the world you really believe that its absurd to think that a world class boxer carried some influncer clown on a Netflix farce boxing card thats geared towards mass consumption. And he didn't rid ****. Paul will be back to con the public again lmao.

Exactly, I think Team Usyk smacked him around in the corner and gave him the best advice. Told him to chill, take no risks, bring the physical pressure, which would mentally and physically drain Jake and then take him out.

AJ's defense is shaky. Jake actually landed a full power right hand. AJ had his glove up and right before it connected he lowered it and got hit.

Now i know you never ever boxed even on a clublevel in the amateurs .

AJ could have brutally knocked out jake in 1st .
It was about punching in the air and soft connections . Most punches landed did not even throw sweat in replay . There was simply no force behind it , only aj knows why . The ko was alsa punched as softly as only possible .

If that is everything aj can deliver he would be sparked out from the uk amateur champion easily .

That said a good show from businessman jake

Of course, but AJ didn't want to take risks against Franklin either, and he has the power of a Super Middleweight at best, you're forgetting that he's a next level mental midget and weirdo. Do I think it could happen? Yes. Do I think it did happen? No. I think Jake fought like an absolute coward, humiliated himself and destroyed his brand in the process and got KO'd. Don't look at this from the perspective of a hardcore. Look at it like a casual. He's a laughing stock on Twitter right now. They have no idea who AJ is, all they know is that Jake Paul was hugging his legs, falling down like a clown, got dropped four times and stopped. Sure, the handful of us, are saying... AJ should've done it in 1! But our opinion doesn't matter. What does matter is the millions of people who watched this, that's never watched boxing before. Now they're fans of AJ and will make AJ v. Fury a mega event. Why risk derailing that? That's several more million for AJ to pocket. So yeah, he probably had a hell of a lot going on in his mind, that prevented him from carelessly throwing himself into punches just to please us.

I'm not saying he didn't take a good shot that ended it, I just think AJ was was was contracted to hold back until the sixth, to make Paul look like he belonged there, even though he didn't look like he did. AJ could have KO'd him the moment Paul came into range very early in the fight. Instead, he did nothing.

Most of the posters on here haven't, because we post on a boxing forum and aren't professional boxers.;)

When he had the perfect shot, he shattered Jake's jaw, totally a pulled punch! Get the **** outta here! I already said why he pulled them before, why expend too much energy when the KO will come eventually?
