Inept is relative though, I just didn’t see him trying , just appearing to try.
Even his feet cannot be that slow or inept or I was definitely right earlier about him being completely shot against any legitimate contender from this point on. He’s not that bad yet

 I was all in on McGregor at the time. I cant recall how serious I was about his chances, but I was most certainly rooting for him and thought he could win.
I dont think I have been as hyped for a fight since. I was fully engaged with all of the buildup, and definitely gave McGregor a good chance, and in my defense he did put in a solid effort.

He's completely shot against anyone legitimate now, and that's why we might not ever see him fight anyone legitimate or current.
He's really fought no one legit since he had a melt-down after the second Usyk fight in 2022. Except Wallin, who was a borderline contender with no punch power, and Dubois .... who murdered him. .... and Wallin is 2 years ago now.

He might fight Fury, who's finished too. And it wouldn't surprise me if a washed-up Fury embarrasses him too, but it could go the other way.

Or they might feed AJ to Moses Itauma or Fabio Wardley for a big cash-out, both of whom would destroy him.

Man I was pumped for it too lol.
Its actually to this day one of my favorite boxing *events* of all time. As in the buildup, the magnitude, the significance, ect.
And I did think Connor had a good chance to do ok early on, and I can somewhat see why someone could think he would do ok overall, Floyd was old, smaller man, brittle hands, light puncher, against a power punching southpaw magnitudes closer to his prime, larger and longer fighter (longer being important against Floyd) who for mma was a very high level striker. I get it.

I think I watched their first press conference a couple times lol, the first one was peak McGregor mic work.

He did extremely well considering how much naturally smaller he was as well
Incredibly brave and fought back when under fire
    Tip my hat to him

And then Floyd came in with a high guard and ruined all of our fun!

Right, but we're talking about AJ in this thread.

As far as I know, discussions about whether Fury 'carried' Ngannou and faked a knockdown or staged a struggle with Wallin or deliberately allowed Sefer Seferi to last 4 rounds with him, are not a thing.

This is about AJ being ****.
When Fury comes back and struggles to land on Justin Bieber, we can go back to talking about how **** Fury is.

Incredible. Not only did he manage to defeat Jake Paul (something Mike Tyson couldn't do), but to knockout him out as well (something which Fury couldn't do). This is certainky the greatest win from a British fighter on American soil!

    VIC-TO-RY.....VIC-TO-RY!

Joshua would Ngannou him into coma if it wasn't so scripted. Now Paul successfully whitewashed his image after beating on a senior citizen in Mike Tyson. Well done Jake.

It is clear that being in Usyk's camp greatly helped AJ. Nobody can beat this version of Joshua 3.0. Or rather. Anthony Usyk. :deal:

Credit to Paul for getting up. Helenius and even Ngannou were put to sleep by that right.

He flopped to the canvas several times, gassed out after 3 or 4 rounds, and ended up with broken jaw. The Netflix commentators were calling the fight "crap" and blaming Jake Paul for that.

What kind of script to whitewash his image is that?
