it was inevitably going to become a problem. he packed on muscle to deal better with the size difference and didnt consider how much oxygen that extra muscle will burn. taxing his already bad endurance like that was going to be a problem. his nervous system is already running in the red due to the danger of your head getting crushed if you blink. 2 more rds and he would have fallen over by himself.

That's the issue. It shouldn't have been difficult for AJ on paper, yet it was.

 

Following Jake around the ring wouldn't tire AJ out, the only way he would have gassed would be by throwing a lot of punches, Jake's tactics were insane and his cardio is awful.

He kept clinching and jumping on the floor, he spoiled the whole fight, it was cringey.

The fact it took 6 rounds and he struggled for 4 of those rounds to land anything effective.

 

that wasnt a difficulty for aj, that wasnt going to win the jake the fight. he was aware like everyone watching that paul wasnt even fighting, much less fighting to win. he was running around hoping to land a miracle shot in between sprints.
people are for some reason thinking that aj went out there on a time clock to end this dude early at all costs. not sure what they expected. did they think aj was going to shoot straight towards him in 5th gear till jake collapsed?

 

Plenty of heavyweights down the years would have finished Jake early, he is an awful boxer.

 

cause the guy was running. running isnt winning him the fight, so whats the urgency to look silly jogging after him?
