this is what makes sense. To get a belt he’s got to fight Usyk, who he’s already lost to twice, or Wardley, who is a young hungry lion. He’s not winning those.

Fight Fury, get that bag, call it a day.

 

Looks like he is going down the route of starting his global retirement fund tour, as its rumoured Ricardo "Rico" Verhoeven is next.

Everyone can get it, so long as you are not a professional boxer or you are severely limited in ability.

 

If not Fury, Parker.

 

It'll be a warm up fight against a limited opponent, then Fury, if Fury is up for it.

Depending on how that fight goes, there may be a rematch, and even a trilogy.

Post Fury, or if Fury doesn't want the Joshua fight, what Joshua does will depend on what Usyk does. If Usyk retires and the belts split, Joshua may stick around to try and pick up another belt.

Joshua is at the end of his career and is still a big pay day for most fighters, so I imagine he'll have plenty of offers, but will play it safe opponent wise until a Fury or title opportunity comes along.

 

If Fury and Joshua have a close fight they can milk a rematch with the British public.

No need for titles in 2026.

Verhoeven has had one boxing match, total and that was over 10 years ago.

Joshua has obviously quit serious boxing. Completely and utterly sold out.

He might as well fight Jake Paul's brother next.

 

You need to add to the poll 'fight an absolute nobody not much better than Jake Paul.'

 

I think Wardley may be winnable. He isn't that good for me.

Take a look at the Dubois debacle. Then look how much he has 'improved against the feared Jake Paul at the weekend. 6 rounds to get rid of a fat, useless light heavyweight who lost to that dude from Love Island.

 

I struggle to judge a fighter on a circus fight. I would give Joshua a 50/50 shot against Wardley if the fight happens during 2026. I think Wardley will be a short-lived champ.

 

I suspect he'll win some easy bum fights, then they'll feed him to Moses Itauma for huge money at end of 2026 or early 2027.

 

Fury, Wilder.

 

Guy can do whatever he wants. If he wants to milk his marketability with 'freak show' fights, so what, he's nothing to prove. Personally, I'd like to see him 'step down' a level and shut up his critics by beating Wardley for the interim, rematch Dan who sadly I suspect might be a busted flush and if he avenges that, maybe Ituama for a bigger bauble, real changing of the guard fight or one that keeps the whippersnapper in his place. He doesn't owe us, or Fury a fight. I'm a huge Fury fan, but suspect he has pissed his career into the wind now BUT in shape and dedicated likely still beats AJ. For me a Fury fight suits Tyson better. If Fury wins, he has beaten an always in shape rival, a dangerous puncher, the one question mark on his resume. If AJ wins he beats a fat 'dosser' who doesn't train and was only in it for the money...and if he loses to that same guy, well he becomes a footnote in boxing history. Now I know, and you know, Fury is much better than that but that WILL be the perception. I think AJ can still have a successful, exciting career if he wants and can make a more meaningful contribution to the big boys than Fury at this point, but does he want to?
